I beta tested this and it's great. If you liked the Agatha Christie casual games, you'll like this one.

Jane has kept very busy designing casual games. She has designed James Patterson’s Women’s Murder Club: Death in Scarlet, Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile and Peril at End House. All winners! bravo

OK, I downloaded the demo before coming to work but only played 4 minutes of it and had to close it. Darn old work gets in the way of my gaming. laugh

So please come back and tell us about this game. Will I like it?
Timer? Hints? Objects hard to find?

I'm sending a very stern look at BFG guy. I've not only been led astray, I'm in danger of being committed to the BAAG Institute for the Compulsive Buyer. You know I can't resist this game and once it's downloaded, I won't be able to stop playing it. Two "must have" games in a row? Aaaarghh. Have pity on me and space them out a little so I at least have time to shower and feed the dog.

Caution: There is a dreaded timer! The items are teeny tiny like the Civil War game and my eyes are already crossed. However, the story line is awesome, graphics are crisp, characters are memorable - an excellent game. Extra hints can be earned by completing optional tasks. I have no idea about the length of the game yet since I've only played a few levels.

Played demo. To tell you the truth, I am always in such a hurry to get on with it when I only have an hour to play that I don't pay attention to detail. I THINK there was a timer but there was more than enough time to manage each screen. Really liked the hidden object screens. Was led astray several times with instructions (or lack of) but, then, that was probably just me hurrying along. No audio for voices which is disappointing. Different type puzzles, easy though. I usually buy maybe one out 10 HOG's that come along, I will probably buy this one.

You have 25 minutes to complete an investigation-chapter. This could be 1-2 sites of HOs.
There are 3 hints per investigation. I don't know if they immediately come back since I try not to use them.
There's a mini puzzle opened after finishing one of the site's hidden object search. Then a bonus puzzle at end of that chapter or investigation.
You get clue items in a site that help in the investigation. There are clue cards of characters after each investigation.
The graphics are very nice and crisp.
The objects are not that hard to find. They are mostly in view.

I remember the timer on this game to be quite generous when I tested it. I pretty much forgot it was there even though I dislike them. It shouldn't pose a problem.

I really like the game, its a nice HOG, with different bits added, but for one annoying thing.
In each set you have an 'optional' set of clues to find. If you don't find those optional clues, the timer keeps running, and you run out of time.....then you get sent back to the beginning of the chapter. insane How can that be optional?

Just hit the BACK button at the bottom left of the screen and it takes you to the map. The optional activities earn you extra hints but are not required. You can also skip some activities with a SKIP button at the top left of the screen.

I wish that were so, but in Carstairs Manor, you have to do the Tea Room after you have found the items of all the rooms in the Manor. In the tea room it has an 'optional' to put the words right on the tea list, If you don't do it,or find all the letters(and I did not :(), you are sent back to the beginning of Carstairs Manor, meaning you have to do all the rooms again.Even going to the map instead of doing the optional, gives you no further places to go.
I find that annoying, as its not optional at all. In this particular one, the tea room, there is no Back Button, as its in the original screen.

Besides the timer the items to find are very small and the added puzzle to solve are hard to do when you try to place an item where it belongs it keeps bouncing back where you pick it up. Also timer needs to go I find since items are small it does not allow you enough time to get everything. The graphics are beautiful but I wait on this game.

Despite the timer(which I really don't mind) and even with the small ojects, I am thoroughly enjoying this game. There are ample hints, and when I really get stuck, I check Margies walthrough. I love the clear graphics, and the story line has kept my interest.

I just finished this game, and really loved it.I hope they make more sequels. I especially liked the clear graphics. That is one of the most important things to me in a HOG. It is one of the few games I played straight through, and actually finished.(I have so many more still to play ).
