Hey all, it's time to voice your opinion and vote with your choices for your personal Top Ten Casual games by genre. They may be new or old, just as long as they are casual.

You have 3 weeks to vote and the thread will be locked at 12am Central time January 25th.

The rules are:

1. Your top 10 (or less) choices for each category, sequels count as separate games, so, for example, do not just state the MCF Series, you have to name them individually.

2. Once you vote, NO EDITING! Think before you post please. I am keeping track via the emails generated by your posts and any editing will not be counted.

3. You may include DS Casual games as well as PC, just put (DS) after the game.

4. One post per member, do not vote one post per genre. :thanks:

Hi Sue, Dracula Origin is definitely a full adventure, not a casual. There are a few I am not sure of and I will have to check. You can replace Dracula for sure though.

Ana, I'm puzzled as to why Mortimer is a HOG. Basically, unless my memory is very faulty, it's like The Incredible Machine Series, where you figure out where to put what in how many moves. There aren't any hidden objects--you're given the stuff you can use at the start of each level. This is not Mortimer Beckett; this is a little purple blob--it is a BFG game, but it's 2005, if that helps.

My Bad! I played that one too so I should have known better. I was on auto pilot and I saw Mortimer and thought it was Mortimer Beckett. It can stay at puzzles, you are correct.

Mysteries of Fire Island. All the wonderland games are puzzle games not adventure games. I've played them all so really I have no favorite one,,each stands alone, but Fire Island is the hardest.

That's good. I had Book of Legends in Adventure Lite, but moved it over to HOG. Wow, never dawned on me that Gourmania was a HOG. It sure felt like time management with all that cooking going on. Are you sure it's not TM? I'm so confused.

It's a cross between the two, but BF considers it a HOG so that breaks the tie.

A great list! I'm inspecting the Adventure Lite results with particular attention.

To the Boomers who are checking the list, I want to personally recommend two little gems I voted for. If you didn't care for Rainbow Web, don't hesitate to try Rainbow Web 2 - it's a much improved version and great fun. I must have played it through to the end at least 50 times. Tropix was a cute game but Tropix 2: Quest for the Golden Banana is exceptionally well done and almost like an Adventure Lite game except you can keep replaying your favorite mini games to earn the money to progress in the adventure portion of the game.
