I didn't think anybody could lead me astray, but you guys did it with all these posts! Yesterday I started Mystery P.I.: The New York Fortune and was enjoying it as much as the first 2, so I wasn't even thinking about another HOG as I like to play my games one at a time. Started reading this thread and before I knew what happened I just *had* to play too. I was already too distrated to go back to New York! I must admit this is a really great game so far so I'm happy to be joining y'all.

To love is to be happy with!

wave Hi, all!

Has anyone heard of a problem playing the game? I downloaded last night, tried to play, but only got a black screen. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and same thing... think

Marie: I got a 32 inch flatscreen TV at Office Depot and it can be used either as a TV or computer screen. Works great for my computer and its so much easier on the eyes when searching for objects in my game or bringing up the accounting package I work on so much of the time. The brand I am using is "Olevia". Wasn't too pricey of course I wrote it off as a business expense anyhow..........ya gotta be tricky these days to save a buck on taxes!!!!

Does anyone know where I can find the scythe to free the monkey? I tried pulling the chain in there, but I didn't see anything. Thanks.

I think it was a sickle. Still can't find tho.

Tammy, you have to
Click to reveal..
keep clicking on pull the chain. You don't have to actually do a downward motion. Pull it all the way to the top and the scythe is behind the cage. If you get the cage all the way to the top, you will have enough time to get it.

Darlene, I didn't have any problems with the download. Did you try it again later today?

You have to click & hold to make the cage go all the way up, then you will see the scyth is under the cage. Be ready when you turn loose of the mouse to grab the scythe. It took me a few tries.(That's the chain on the left you hold)

wave Hi, L4L! Downloaded and uninstalled about three times. Download time was very slow, slower than I have previously experienced. May try again later...

In rhe episode called The Village, there is a section called Farmer In Trouble...I found the item to use to get the bees away from the hive but I cant figure out how to keep them away like where to place this sweet item. I have a nail in inventory and trying to locate place to use it and I think I have to nail the sweet item to it...can anyone clue me in?

Thanks!

Darlene, the DL time for me was quite fast, so I wonder if that server in your area is having problems?

Rachel, I stopped at the Farmer to cook and now watching Merlin, so I can't help.

But several folks said they finished it, so hopefully one of them will stop by. luck wave

What to do with bees.

Click to reveal..
You need to pull the bees all the way to the other chunk of watermelom with the piece you have and click on it and they should stay there. Then you put the nail in the beehive and a drop of honey comes out.

Darlene....i had the same problem. I restarted my computer and was able to get it to play......however, everytime I stop playing and try to go back to play...the black screen again...I have to do a restart and then I can play. I thought it was just me so was sort of surprised to see your post. I know this is not the answer to get it fixed, but it may get you at least started on the game until you can find out from BFG if there is a problem. Not many seem to be having the problem though, so don't know what to say. I love it so I'm dealing with the retart as I will probably play until I finish the next time I play....hope this helps to get you at least started.

Barbara, Darlene, have you let BFG know there is a problem?

I can't play it at all, just a black tiny screen. We are not alone, there are plenty of black screens on BigFish. Will try and get an answer.

Not sure if this will help, but I've found that uninstalling the BFG toolbar itself, then choosing any game and getting a fresh download of the latest version will sometimes fix any bug.

It's working fine for me, and I bought it almost immediately as well. Also, I have good hearing, Looney, but I may have my ipod going, so I tend to turn off the game sound unless it's riveting, and the visual clues were awesome! More developers should be so courteous. smile

wave Ana, I found that when I uninstalled the game, restarted my computer, downloaded again, the game played. Then, I stopped playing the game, then went back into it to see if it would play, and it did. Go figure...

think Hmmmm, definitely a question for the BFG-guy...

wave Edit: Sent BFG Customer Support a description of the problem. They're awesome. I'm sure we'll hear that they're looking into it.

It took me 3-4 hours to finish. This is one I think I will play again. Did someone on here say that there are different clues if you play it again?
