You might have missed the small eyes. Check and see if there are still pieces that you have not placed. One of the eyes might be not ptoperly settled in the slot also.

Dear MaG,
Thanks for your help. Apparently, one of the pieces was not seated properly. I did the puzzle again being very careful about placement - eyes last - and this time it worked.

P.S. I am still very fond of my avatar that you set up for me. She was a beautiful animal.

Hi all, I feel so dumb, because no one seemed to ask how to solve the problem with mixing the reagents in order to develop the film. It's the one with the circle divided into three, and you have to add the colored liquids. I tried to get all three areas to equal the same amount, but I just can't figure it out. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The bottles all have percentages on them. And you don't have to use all the bottles. Just make the percentage amounts the same in each tray (% of red, blue, etc) and you should be good.

Hey Thracia, the percentage of each section should be 60. You can click here for a screenshot. Good Luck! The walkthrough is getting posted as we speak and I will post a link as soon as it is up. Good Luck, Margie B

Hey Thracia, you are very welcome wave

The walkthrough was just posted, you can Click here to access the Nick Chase Walkthrough I added lots of videos and screenshots.
Just an FYI, I am going to add a video on getting to the cradle once Nick has come out of the sewer, it seems like a lot of people had problems with that scene, including myself. Thanks and Enjoy! Margie B

If you do not skip the puzzles I think it is a decent sized game. If you skip them, you are missing half the game time and you'll probably consider it short.
I thought it was a great game and give it two thumbs up!

All-righty. If this game got a two thumbs up from Ana then she has officially led me astray and I'm off to download the game. (Leave the door open at Gamezebo, Margie ... I suspect I'll be along shortly.)

You were right Ana, I love the game and was happily led astray!

Before the game even opened, I was delighted to find Felix wearing a detective's fedora. What a cute touch. And then the first task for Nick is to clean Felix' bowl and feed him. Booyah - I was tempted to buy the game right then. Cute idea using bullets to fill a revolver for hints - more "atmosphere." (Love the sparkles that highlight bullets in the scenes.) Of course, no timer and a skip button are always a bonus. I keep the sound turned off most of the time, but with Ana's recommendation I turned up the volume. Tee hee, great dialogue - very entertaining and really helps set the mood. I love Nick's observations, e.g. "In this line of work, a family is merely a dream." This game is the total package - all my favorite features and none of the aggravation.

The only drawback I can see with this game is that a beginner might struggle understanding what needs done. A veteran player can recognize the style of a puzzle and know how to proceed - the light switch puzzle near the beginning for example. Took me a time or two to realize it was a "repeat the sequence" puzzle.

Break time is over and it's back to the game.

I enjoyed it very much -- kind of reminded me of the Nancy Drew Lite game (Dossiers: Lights, Cameras, Curses). However, either I'm getting better at these games or it was short; I finished it in one sitting. (With some help from Margie!)

But definitely worth the game club price. Great atmosphere, good selection of puzzles, and not too much adrenaline with no timer and few quick-reaction puzzles. (And even with those you get as many chances as you need to get through, and they are short enough that you're not crushed when you get caught by the bad guys and have to run through the yard AGAIN. Unlike those #^@*&^%@ crows in ND Dossiers.)

I am so willing to be led astray. Jeez. I am a mess. After reading the initial posts about how unusual and fun this HOG was, I went right to the link and downloaded it.

All assertions about the game are absolute truth! What a fun game - unfolds like a comic book. The dialogue is a scream an the actor's voice is perfect. I could picture Steve Martin turning it into a movie similar to Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. I just started the game, but I have time this week to play it as long as I can see it (eye operation tomorrow...). The music is very period as well.
