Yeah it's a little annoying to have to put items into "storage" so that bigger items will fit into inventory. Especially when there are multiple "storages" in the chapter, makes it easy to forget where you've placed things. Also while playing I've found the camera system to be annoying, in tight spots it can get stuck and make it awkward to maneuver the character around. Perhaps the 3D wasn't a great choice. I've noticed some other glitches that may be fixed in the English version, such as getting stuck on screens. Sometimes the "zoom out" will not appear making it impossible to leave a screen forcing to reload the game. Along with some other minor things, this game is defiantly different than the first one. They both have their pros and cons.



The English version is not available yet, the voice overs are in German so I cut them.

Ok cool, just thought I'd clarify Are you past the first part of the game yet? If so - without any spoilers - does the game change much when you get to play as Victoria? For example, is it more like the first game, with more character's to interact with and things? Thanks for taking the video by the way.

This games story is a bit more narrow than the first game. The first game being in two different time periods there were different elements to each character. In this game, its really the same story played in the perspective of two people, Vic & Paloma.

Like Orient, I am also wondering if you encounter more characters as the game progresses. Have you run into any more in Vic's section of the game?

I also got the game (German version) and played it for a while. I'm playing Vic's part at the moment. All I can say is that I had high expectactions since I adore the first Still Life Actually I have nothing bad to say about Still Life 2.. I love it It's different from the first, that's true but it still has that familiar feeling. The gameplay is really great, you have much to do. The approach (story, gameplay) feels very fresh and new to me regarding the adventure genre. Some of the timed sequences add even much to the tension. The atmosphere is just perfectly achieved. Creepy and tense. The graphics aren't the best but that doesn't really matter to me. They fit to the game. So people don't worry Lots of detective work, an amazing atmosphere and Vic is still the one we met in SL1

There is patch in the internet that make the subtitles in the game from german to english . Its a private patch someone did . Its converting all the german subtitles in the game from german to english .

Im not sure if its illegal since i bought the game so im not sure if i may use this patch .

The patch dosent change the voices only the subtitles menus and items are all in english .

Can someone tell me if i can use it or not ? Since i paid for the game .

The patch by the private person borders on the copyright of the developer. Unless the developer gave his permission to do so or until we hear from the developer or publisher - better not use it.

Hi Perry-Rhodan, I'm going to be thrown into the very naughty corner for this post but I've got to say it! You started this thread by telling us all how awful this game is & now you are asking about illegal patches to continue it because you chose to get a version of it in a language you don't understand & said previously the language wasn't the main problem? I don't understand!

Chrissie, I agree. The whole story is a bit strange. Either someone is trolling here or he/she is playing a pirated copy of the game.

Even of all i said here before i didnt say once that i will not keep playing the game . I said i cant stop playing the other game tbout but i love adventure games and i played and will play them all soon or later .

I asked because a strange grammar mistake was in it, a mistake no German webshop would make.

Next to Book of Unwritten Tales, I can see why Still Life 2 might not look so good. I don't think I've been so amazed by the look of an adventure game since Myst IV -- another game that had outstanding use of background animations. Next to Unwritten Tales, Still Life 2 looks much more static. Enjoying Still Life 2 may also depend more on understanding the language than Unwritten Tales.

I don't understand why people have been insinuating that Perry_Rhodan is not using a legal version of the game. It is perfectly possible to purchase and download a legal version of the game, even if it isn't in your native language. It is one thing to have hope that a game will be good despite someone else's opinion. But you shouldn't go accusing that person of theft simply because you think he's dissing the game unfairly or because he's willing to spend money on a game where he doesn't understand the language while you are not.

Perry_Rhodan created and uploaded a gameplay video so you could see for yourself. Maybe you like what you see and maybe you don't, but that is not something someone does when they are trolling. So how about giving him the benefit of the doubt.

What gets me is why buy a product that is in another language when the english version would be released soon.
