I am at the slider puzzle. I have removed the books, and tipped up the middle shelf. It actually swings from left to right and only opens half way. I can see a slider puzzle that is completed to the left of the vertical shelf. Where is the slider puzzle I am supposed to put my spare peice into??? To the right of the of the slider puzzle is the shelf and a black space. If I click on the completed slider puzzle, I enter the room, and some guy shoots me dead. I don't know where the slider puzzle is that I need to complete.

According to the walkthrough:

Quote:
Hidden door: Go right to the bookcase-rack.

Look close at shelves. Remove all the books from the middle bookcase. Click on the shelf to push it.

See an ornate wood carvings. Look close at the slider puzzle.

Slider puzzle: Arrange the mosaic on the right to be similar to that on the left.

Use the square with ornament on the last square when the rest are arranged.

This puzzle is random.

Sorry, I have not played the game yet, so it's the best I can offer right now.

I must have a glitch in my game. I followed the WT exactly, and do not have a slider puzzle to the right of the shelf, only the slider puzzle on the left, which is the completed one. I guess my game stops at this point unless someone else has any suggestions. I did try going back to a save and it still didn't work. I am so sad, it is a great game. frown

I have a saved game with the slider puzzle complete, would you like me to send it across to you? That way you can continue and enjoy the game.

It worked like a charm, thanks alot. I did try one more time from a saved game though, paying close attention to every detail. I found my error. When Nicole says she'd better "lock the door",when she is in the library, I assumed closing the door meant it would lock automatically. I assumed wrong. Once I put the key in the door to lock it, I could proceed to the room with the slider puzzle. If you don't lock the door, some man comes in and kills Nicole. At least I don't have to deal with the frustration of a slider puzzle, the save worked great. Thanks again.
