Is this a good game? I found one or two reviews, but they weren't too specific. Is it in English? Thanks.

Hi Laurette,

It's a great game, I thoroughly enjoyed it. smile Intriguing story and some very nice puzzling. It's in Hungarian with English subtitles. The town and locations are beautiful to walk around, and the acting is excellent. I'd recommend it.

There is a lot of dialogue to get through but it is an interesting game to play and figure out. I have played it 3 times now and just love it.

It sounds good. I can't wait for the Gameboomers review to check it out.

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.

Its a very good game.It is unique in that you talk to real people and see real buildings on the order of AnaCapri.

My understanding is that it is exclusively available on THe Adventure Shop as a download. I could be wrong though. It can be accessed through the TAS button above.

With English subtitles, downloading from Adventure Shop is the only way at least for the time being. It has a retail version published in Hungary but that's in Hungraian.

I wrote the adventureshop as I don't have a creditcard but they don't accept paypal. so I have to wait for this beautiful game and do hope it will be available from other downloads or shops where they do accept paypal. in my country creditcards are not common for payment.

Margaret,

They accept paypal. It is one of the selection in the card options.
If I remember, they had it for 3 or so weeks now.
Try paying and see the selection.

How about that? I just got an email from The Adventure Shop this morning and this was the one game that caught my attention (most of the others I have already played or am not interested in) and I'm wondering if it is a third person game? FMV sounds like it should be, but I'm not sure. Also, how does the download work? I get easily confused when it comes to the inner ways of my computer.

Is it possible to make a hard copy (on a CD/DVD) after purchase of the game? Or will there be a boxed version at some point?

Hi sierramindy, the gameplay is in 1st person but it doesn't feel like it because there are short cut scenes throughout to show your character moving/carrying out actions etc.

I bought the game from The Adventure Shop & they E-mail you the game via 4 files - you can download each one at your leisure as it does take a long time. They recommend downloading their download manager - I didn't & just made a file on my desktop & downloaded each file to there! I hope that is of some help!

It's a nice game sierramindy & I found it ran so smoothly! smile

Sierramindy,

There are lots of movies in the game and these are of course third person. But otherwise it is first person. This way you get the feeling as if you were walking around in the town in reality.

Well, since you asked, chrissie, the answer is actually: no! I don't care for first person games, but I might have tried it even so, if the download had been changed to something easier. I tried to download one game some months back and got all mixed up. I ended up with stuff on my computer from the download manager (I think that is where it came from) that totally confused me and I'm afraid to try again. I worry that I will accidentally delete the computer's operating system by mistake. This is probably a hold-over from those very early computers when hitting a wrong key could spell disaster in some cases.

sierramindy, Yoomurjak's Ring is the only game I've downloaded from The Adventure Shop so far & I did start off by installing the download manager. I got confused too so I know what you mean! I ended up uninstalling it & just created a folder on my desk top & downloaded each file to there! Some may disagree but I found that a lot more straight forward! You don't need the download manager & I have successfully downloaded a few other full adventures that are E-mailed split into files without needing one! It has been said that it is quicker to use a download manager but I can't myself see the logic in that - how can it speed up my download to be faster than my PC wants to go? think

sierramindy, there is a way to try the game if you want. Here's a demo that's easier to download without any download manager:
http://www.yoomurjak.com/?menu=media&page=demo
It lets you play until the first puzzle is completed, no time limit.
