Spices makes me think of mummies. So my guess is Mummy.

ghost make me think of curse, so Rhiannon - the curse of 4 branches? there are some plants (not really spices ) and some keys to be found

I didn't know really but the combination of the clues of key (which made me think of the cottage), ghosts ( more obvious) & the herbs which reminded me of a timed puzzle inspired me! Anyway, I'm pretty bogged down at the mo with other things & have little time to be inventive with clues so:
