I have looked for a solve hint on your answers to other players questions, but can't find a hint for getting through the digging for El Toro's coded journal. Does it mean follow the N S E W directons as shown on the Walk through or do I follow the opposite of the printed directions.> If I go opposite I can't find that particular object. Example, step 3 in the walk through,says go North 9 steps to 3 fronds. All I can find is 3 palm trees. Maybe I need a save game for this part of the game. I had no problem in the "Crystal Skull" game with a similar shovel dig. Please help. Been working for several hours on just that part. Thank you.

Are you starting at the correct point - below and at middle of the palm trees in the shape of a W. Head south 3 paces and you'll come to a set of 3 coconuts, then head 3 paces west until you arrive directly at 3 fronds, then head north for 9 paces, etc. Follow standard NSEW directions.

Got the saved game. Finally managed to get it into the game folder. I'm not too swift anymore, I guess. Now, I sure hope it really isn't necessary to get the glass bottles. I've been all over that water. If I have any, where the heck are they. Inventory? Seems I have to make a quote from Edgar Allen Poe. Let me know, if you please.

No - the glass bottles are not needed to finish the game. It's a clue and you can find out just by exploring later.

got it. The clue was in my inventory. Now I have to ask for game save for the chest puzzle. There is no way I will ever get that one. My heart is pounding away. I don't know how to take a picture of the screen. With what? I did save the game at the point of seeing the puzzle for the 2nd time. Hope I can make it through the game. I'm going to "need a bigger boat" (more saves) I read through all the other questions I could find. Guess I'm not the only one. Just sorry I bought the game. Thanks. I'm back. I am now after the bat caves. Wonder of Wonders, I did solve the puzzle. Have spoken to John about his driver's license. Now I need the sea urchin. I had it once, but it disappeared from my inventory. I tried to find dove shaped island again for another dive, but just can't. Could I have a game save with the sea urchin? Please and Thank you so much. I'm really trying.

The sea urchins aren't at the dove shaped island, you'll find them at the reef where the Caridad shipwreck/chest is. They're close to the sail boat after you've dived down.

If you think you already picked one up, double check your inventory to make sure - the inventory boxes are so small it's easy to overlook items.

Edit: If you're playing from a saved game, perhaps the sea urchin has already been given to the monkeys. Climb to the top of the cliff and see if you are able to move forward without them bothering you. Or check your task list for what has/hasn't been done yet.

I looked at the check list, and it states I haven't "done that yet" for the sea urchin. I really need the sea ball. Can I get a save game please? I tried to many times to re-visit the coral reefs, but it won't allow Nancy to dive again. Please. Thank you.

My saves don't follow the walkthrough, and as you're playing from a save of MaG's, I think playing from one of mine would be confusing - different things done in a different order. So as you don't lose any of your own game progress, send me your last dated save game and I'll go diving and find that sea urchin for you.

Trouble posting. I'll try again to post a request for a save game right after the Bat Cave puzzle is finished and Nancy picks up the driver's license john. I lost it somehow by finding it ahead of time and losing it after loading the save for the chest puzzle. The check list states now that I "haven't done that yet" for the sea urchin. The monkeys won't let me through. I know I have lost it somehow. I have a great deal of problems submiting any new posts. I'm sorry for the trouble. Please help by telling me what I might be doing wrong in posting.

I did as you asked to send a saved game to you. However, I messed up and clicked on something about a default and it went to earthlink mail. I don't have an account with them any longer. I use yahoo now. (EDITED out) I tried to find a way to get my save sent to you but I'm in real trouble. I followed your directions and also found the directions on the gameboomers forum. I guess I'm just out of luck. Now what?
