I didn't think it was short, but then again I'm a lollygagger when I play. lol I would have liked it longer but I think compared to others this is about average length.

I'm playing the game right now, and I was expecting it to end nearly as soon as it had begun, but I'm not finding that to be the case. I guess I'm just a slowpoke!

I don't skip puzzles and don't look at walkthroughs either. I'm sure that helps add to the length. I guess we are both slowpokes Marian. lol

I'm playing the game now and find it's as long as I make it last. Yes, add another slowpoke to the group! lol I tend to play for a while and come back to it after getting some other things done, prefering to work out the puzzles and avoid walkthroughs. This adds to my slowness LOL crazy. The graphics and music are great, always a plus for me. I actually find what Darleen mentioned to be funny-creepy LOL and wish there was more of it. Drawn is at the top of my list too. I'm enjoying PS very much, certainly worth the BF purchase.

Joyville's next installment could be improved by not telling the player what to do with every object and every puzzle. Make those instructions part of a hint system and have somewhat more difficult puzzles. Other than those caveats, Joyville is amusing...just a trifle too simple when it would have been easy to make the game a hair more challenging and still stay in the realm of doable without a walkthrough.

I guess I sound like Goldilocks critiquing the three bears' choice of furniture and foodstuff.

Joyville is a good one though, especially considering the production constraints on casual games. It's not as pretty as RTR and the puzzles can't compare in complexity. Nonetheless, Joyville has more of a plot and shows promise. I will be surprised if the next installments are not better than the first and more carefully constructed both in terms of narrative and game play.
