Many thanks for your reply - and so quickly.

I looked at that video walkthrough. I don't like it one teeny weenie bit - and for various reasons I don't want to elaborate.
It seems there are at least some things which are not at all appropriate to my game - I don't know why.

Can somebody who has played chapter 1 help outwith a simple straightforward hint?

harhan, the combo of items you used is OK and it must be use on the cable on the left near the head of the angel and of course done above the angel.

But first, you have to put one of the straps on the angel and the second one on the center block of stone at the end of the small tunnel at the bottom of the crypt.

Of course, you did some work around that center block of stone.

Good luck.

Thanx Chief.
I see what I'm missing. My guess is that I could have picked up something maybe quite a while ago but have constantly miseed it/them?
At any rate that's apparently what's held me up for ages.

Click to reveal..
I had one strap in my inventory a long time ago, but it's now hanging down from somewhere in the crypt and dangles down from somewhere near the angel into the basement near to the statue of one of the 2 brothers.

There isanother strap around the heavy ball which Atlas is carrying. I've tried to get it off for ages but tnot succeeded. It seems that I have to do something to loosen it first. I've tried everything I can think off but so far nogo.

That's maybe what's holding me up - or maybe the previous mentioned strap also ?

harhan, this one is a bit tricky as you must go to the left on the path at the cemetery.

Put your cursor as much left as you can and possibly a couple of times to go to the entry of the cemetery. Look for the scaffolding and.....a tool.

Have fun.

Chief.

Thanx again Chief. Were it not for your help, I think I would have been on the game ad infinitum.

This is pretty unfair. Particularly since no sign whatsoever appears when accessing the cursors etc. mechanism.. IMHO it is bordering on a bug. It has wasted at least 2 hours and maybe more for me chasing useless red herrins.

Incidentally my impression of the game to date, only part way through chapter 1, is extremely good. But I've already discovered a couple of concrete bugs - not game stoppers as the above, but actual obvious bugs and indicative of sloppy beta testing - which is rather ridiculous since the game is obviously a high budjet one.

Just a comment even if not a hint help:

The quality of the game also depends on the developers listening and doing something about the reported glitches during beta testing.

Safc,

Let me review this in my mind since I didn't write anything down:

See the block of stone behind the picture at the crypt.
Use file on the block of stone.

Use 2 straps to connect stone with angel.

Connect the strap to left side of angel while looking down at main floor of mausoleum.

Combine the collecting basket + radial saw using the ribbon taken from wreath.

Use that to ciut the cable. It breaks the wall.

Another brick wall is seen. Take the bollard from upstairs floor.
Use that to break brick wall. luck

safc, for a longer cutter, you need one of those church basquet that you will find at the chapel.

A few thing to do to get it.

Have fun.
