I'm going to guess it's the one from Visiontek then. Newegg has ***Radeon HD 3650 AGP cards*** from three different manufacturers -- Powercolor, Visiontek, and Sapphire. Checking the manufacturer's websites, the ***Sapphire page*** says it needs 450W. The ***Visiontek page*** says it needs 300W. The ***Powercolor page*** seems to be in Chinese, so I don't know what it says. The Sapphire card seems to be clocked higher than the Visiontek (800MHz compared with 725MHz), so that may be why it consumes more power.

Visiontek also makes a ***PCI-E version of the Radeon HD 3650***, which also only requires a 300W power supply, but Newegg doesn't have it.
There is currently one on ebay though, if anyone needs the PCI-E version for a 300W power supply.

Hi Cathy, promised to get back to you. Nothing worked. I even tried doing the download for the Vista. Nada. Thank you anyway!

I don't have the game as yet but it's on the way. These posts concrning the video card has me concerned. My card is a Nvidia Geforce 7600GS , do you think it will be adaquate enough to run the game?

The 7600GS is supposed to be able to handle up to Shader 3.0, so it should be adequate to play Black Mirror 2.

Tried installing this game. My computer shuts down about half through installation. I have an ATI 9550 Radeon X1050 series video card. Installed Ghost Pirates without a hitch. Any suggestions? Thanks.

P.S. Tried playing Ghost Pirates (after so-called successful installation). When I try to play, am given message: "Disc verification error, not verified as original. Please insert original and try again." It appears it's my computer.

I don't think that's the fault of the video card. There might be something wrong with your game disc.

Are you having shutdowns at other times?

The game is failing the disk check. It's probably not compatible with your DVD drive. At least it tells you what's wrong (some of them don't). Do you have another DVD drive in your computer that you could try the game from?

No, I only have one DVD drive. Yes, the computer shut down and restarted approx. 2 times. This is so frustrating. How could they tell me the disc is unverified - when it's the original? Scream!!! Thanks for your input.

Welcome to copy protection heck.
It's as old as disc-based protection systems.
Check your PM for a possible solution.

What OS are you running, and which version of DirectX did you update?

Your operating system, Matty. Is it XP or Vista or what?

Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.
