This is a beautiful game, full of interaction. Several locations available to look for the objects needed somewhere else. Some of them need additional objects to find, displayed in the frames. I like this type of the HO scenes. Nice graphics. I'm going to buy it.

Wow!!!! This was a great game. Yes there are some small objects but easy enough to find. Only 1 or 2 dark areas and they were doable. Good story, good graphics. Long enough to be good and not so long I got tired of it draggin on. Like some we've had. As you finish each area it is placed on a map for easy return also. Hint system is good (recharger).

I hope all of you enjoy it as much as I have. Will wait a month or so and play it again.

Have a great weekend.

I almost bought the game, but when I got to the point where I only had 5 min. left of the demo I had to go to a location to find a realtor.... I spent the whole 5 min. looking for a scene with a realtor... never found it. That sort of soured me on the game. The location wasn't on the map yet... I traversed every scene looking for an exit to it...

I'm afraid if I bought it I'd have similar problems with navigation. Otherwise the game was really good... some of the scenes dark, but the actions performed were logical and the story cute. I've bought games before where I ended up having to play with mouse in one and and WT in the other... and do not like playing like that. So I'll pass on this one.

I'm stuck. I'm at the Tower Yard and the WT says to click on the Gnome Key that is hanging around the neck of the statue, but there is no key there. I've clicked everywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

I found it and completed the game. That was great (but what a run-around). Certainly worth playing again though.

Played a few minutes of the demo and it looks like one I'd buy. Just finished "Puppet Show: Souls of Innocent". There are a few other games I'm considering. Just wonder if I'll be satisfied with "Gypsy's Tale" after playing "Souls of the Innocent". Any input appreciated.

Update: Decided to to ahead and download the full version. Glad I did. Very challenging and complex for an IHOG. Well worth my $6.99. So far, haven't had any of the screen problems mentioned. There was an update for the game on the day I downloaded the full version. Maybe a uninstall/reinstall would correct the screen problem.

Hi, Ana!

I'm really disappointed because this is a game I'm sure I would enjoy but, even though "Play Full Screen" is checked off in the Options menu, I am only able to play in a small window. I even tried changing to WinXP SP3 compatibility mode, but it wouldn't even launch.

I've only had this problem with one other game I downloaded from BFG and, try as she might, the CS Rep was unable to help me play in full screen mode.

If anyone else ran into this problem and was able to solve it, I'd appreciate knowing how.

Thanks!

Susan

Susie...

I ran into the problem with the Salem Witch game. It wouldn't launch in full screen even after I changed my screen resolution. I'm playing on a 17 inch laptop. (Windows 7 64 bit)So...I tried one more thing. I changed my screen resolution to 1024 x 768. (I had already configured my ATI video card to "full screen.") Then I launched the game. It still opened in the center of the screen. So I opened the options and unchecked full screen, the game adjusted, then I rechecked full screen...and the game is now playing the full width of the screen. I have to do the check/uncheck each time I play the game, but it works.

I did think I'd get the same problem with Gypsy Tale...but it launched fine for me.

Perhaps the trick wil work for you as well.

Hi, JKEerie!

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot.

I didn't have any problems with "Salem Witch Trials", but was unable to play "Princess Isabella" in full screen mode. I ended up downloading it from the developer's website and it ran without any problems.

Susan

Good luck, Susie!

I just got this laptop and was immediately dismayed when Dark Fall Lost Souls and Chronicles of Mystery launched centered on the screen. It took some digging around on the ATI website to learn where the option was in the ATI catalyst control center to configure the display to always stretch to full screen (it used to be on it's own tab but ATI decided to bury it in the newer versions.) Once I realized that the games were defaulting to 1024x768, I set the screen resolution to that value, opened up the video card control center and set the display to full screen. Now, if the game doesn't launch full screen, I change the resolution to the game resolution, and launch. In the instance of Salem, I had to futz with the in-game option. Perhaps you need to explore the settings in your own video card to insure full screen is configured for all the screen resolutions. That may help you in the long run.

Good luck and lets us know how it goes! smile

Hey...how you doing L4L???? smile

Hi, JKEerie!

As it just so happens, I also have an ATI video card so, if changing my screen resolution doesn't do the trick, I'll search for where the option is to configure my display to stretch to full screen.

Thanks again!

Susan

Great Susie!

The link below discusses what I was referring to:

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/UnableToSetGPUScaling.aspx

It may not be the exact control option for your video card (It's not for mine), but it discusses image scaling in general. There should be an option in the Catalyst control center of your video card.

You may have the feather. Go to the store and trade it for a quill. smile

Leeana: Go to the Dark Forest, then south (down) to haunted cottage.

Edit: I can't find the Tower Maze (sleeping girl). Was there once, but isn't on the map. Please help! Thanks.

Found Tower Maze.
