I don't think I'm anywhere near the end of this game but I've got to say it's a lot of fun and quite creative - none of your usual fairy tale about it.
I thought I'd fall out of my chair laughing when a tiny octopus made a very rude gesture at Olaf, and if you play this, you're going to love Olaf's way of solving a slider! If that was your idea, tol, thanks for getting a small measure of revenge for all of us!

I should have been able to go back to the site after making my payment but I never got the option to do so. Which is probably why I haven't been sent the appropriate stuff to enable my downloading the game. And there's nothing in my Junk Box, I've already looked I'll have to hope an Italian speaking person will come along SOON to help me out

Mad,
It took some hours for my order to be accepted. I said something about it in another thread...let me look...okay, it was after 10 PM when I said that I'd just ordered the game and the email with the download link arrived at 2:59 AM the next morning. So hang in there, you may get that email yet. :-)
Gil.
Btw, not every site has an instant download as GOG does. I always have to wait for an email from...the Adventure Shop, I think it is.

you're going to love Olaf's way of solving a slider! If that was your idea, tol, thanks for getting a small measure of revenge for all of us! Gil. Glad you liked it. Yes, that was exactly my idea, I hate these in adventures too- that´s why you won´t find any similar "puzzles" in our game and that´s why we have invested expensive cut-scene just for this manifestation :-)

That's terrific, Mad. I know you're going to enjoy this game, particularly as you get further into it.
Btw, (forgive me if you already know this) the activation code is in your email. It's under this: Installazione / Avvio Numero di serie / Codice d'attivazione (The code - a string of letters and numbers.)

You never had to type it in? Lucky you! I always have to squint at the numbers I've written down and type very carefully. But no, once the game's activated, that's it.
Have fun!

Hi, I had to contact them as a download was taking longer than expected, and they emailed back with perfect English, so just write to them and ask them to send you another email (check your email address is correct first). They were very helpful.

I downloaded the demo and the game looks wonderful. I have subtitles in English but no voice. Is that the way it is suppose to be?

The full game is voiced in English, Nancy. Maybe it's just the demo that doesn't have any voiceover.

You need to apply the "English" patch to get everything in English. The address for the patch is on a post in this thread somewhere, I think .... It's a really nice game

Thanks traveler. I think I will go ahead and order the game. Will the download then be with English voiceover or do I still need to load the patch that was created.

@rockingrjranch Hi, you can play it without the patch I gather from the forum but if you download the patch the subtitles will be in English, not Italian, which means, if you are impatient, like I am sometimes, and can read quick, you can skip through some of the slower spoken passages! The game is brilliant by the way, I have just finished it and it took me ages too, really good value gameplay.

The patch is on page 9 of the thread, Nancy. It gives you English subtitles and identifies most things in the game in English.

Thanks traveler. I think I will go ahead and order the game. Will the download then be with English voiceover or do I still need to load the patch that was created. I strongly recommend to play with patch because not only subtitles will be translated from Italian to English but all texts in books, lists etc. and hotspot names as well.

I played the first part in Italian when I was having all that trouble - I'm almost sure it was because the game was initially installed in Program Files(x86) in Win7 - and really, I enjoyed it. Figuring out what Avanti and Certo meant added a little more puzzle to the game. And since Olaf was kind enough to explain any text that was crucial to the gameplay, no problem there either.
I did download and install the patch, though, mostly because I was curious about the other entries in the bestiary.
This game is so good, tol. Thanks so much.
Gil.

jody319, I also have Win7 64-bit and I wasn't able to get into the pantry either. For some reason, I was thrown back to an earlier point in the game where I was treated to breakfast 'again'. I couldn't even find saved games in the game folder. Nothing I tried worked except uninstalling the game and reinstalling it in a folder in My Documents instead of the default Program Files(x86). If you want to try that, it will mean replaying to the point where the glitch happens but if this is your solution, it's worth it. You've barely started! Gil.

Never mind, long writing by me, then found answer in Glitches and it looks like I can't play any more. Jody (sorry for the post...which I erased... Hi Jody, sorry for this inconvience, the game runs on very old engine and we are having hard time to find a solution for it. If you happen to still have files with the saves, it would be a great help for us in order to hopefuly prepare patch one day for 64-bit systems. So if you have them, can you send them to me, please?
