Here's the list Adventure Gamers did in 2002 Some favorites have moved position a lot in this new list. Difference in taste these days? Or a different team putting this list together? Different team. The 2001 list (reprinted in 2002 after the site changed servers) was solely written by AG's (then) editor in chief. This Top 100 list was a collaborative effort from the entire AG staff. But I think tastes change over a decade, too. I know my perspective on adventure games is completely different now than it would have been ten years ago (right after adventure games "died" ).

Jenny100 said .. " Pandora will probably be listed higher than UAKM. I kind of liked UAKM better, but that's just me." Well I liked UAKM better too. In fact my whole top 100 list would follow a very different order altogether !! But it IS so interesting to see just how different the opinions of others can be

To each his own, I wouldn't even put Myst and its sequels on the top 100.
Currently Playing: Adventure Game: Broken Age Darkside: Star Wars: The Old Republic

Ah, I'm not into Myst or its sequels at all, but they're not among the top three. Glad to see Riven placed so highly for those who are fans, though.

Helena: Where are these mangoes?

Lists are fun, and the top 10 are all good games.
Quantity has a quality all of its own

I shall break my silence long enough to note that, as Azrael's Tear is the greatest adventure game ever, they still failed to list it as number one.
I therefore pass sentence on their list thusly: pish posh.

Wow, I can't believe how many games I recognize and how many I've played over the years. I'm going to bookmark the list -- there are some I'd like to still get.
"So, Holmes. What are we doing now?"
