Thanks, Looney! I'm not even sure if she can play it because her computer is old, but she wants to try the guest pass. I'm waiting for her to call now.
It would be fun to have a real life friend play. All these years I've been asking my daughter and other people I know, and no one else want to, lol. They don't know the fun they're missing.

Yes, it will be fun. I'm lucky to have a hubby and 2 sons that play. I don't get to play with my VA son very often, but my AL son and of course, hubby and I play together and it is much easier.

Hmm, you sure the Guest pass is for Pandaria?? I thought it was just for the vanilla WOW game...

The guest pass is for up to level 20, and doesn't mention Pandaria, so I assume it's only for vanilla Wow. My friend was unable to install it because her Mac is too old, sigh, so she can't play until she gets a new computer.
One thing I've noticed this time around is the people in the instances where you do looking for dungeon tend to really rush through the instances. The tanks keep on going, pulling huge groups of mobs, and not waiting for the rest of the group. I'm guessing they are people who have been playing for years and just don't care much about anything except getting through to the end. Either that or they are brand new tanks. In the 6 years I've been playing Wow I hadn't seen that going on as much, like these days.
I do a few instances each day on 2 toons, and people have run out for pizza, others have asked the group to wait so they can have dinner or make phone calls. That used to happen before, too, but I don't remember it happening as much.

Wow, Jean I really have though about rolling a tank just to avoid things like that, but am not sure I'd be able to take the nastiness tanks sometimes encounter.

How about getting together to do instances and/or the new scenarios? Linda is on vacation right now visiting family out of town, but I know she would like to join in also. Just let us all know when and I will join in! Andrea

My shadowpriest on Draka is 35! I can slow down and not play her until you both are close to that level, so we can do an instance. I've got toons in the 30's, 40's and 80's scattered around. So let me know!

I am too with mine! I'm supposed to do that Stranglethorn instance with my 85 priest tonight. This is going to be hilarious. It's the quest line that starts at the docks in SW.

Eventually the thumbs, or perhaps toes, will turn back into fingers I'm off to do some dungeon research.

It turns out the instance was heroic, and I did it with 4 guildies. It was fun, although 2 of us kept dying since we didn't know what we were doing. The rewards in the end were kind of worthless, though. Just trinkets you could wear with no value.
But it was the first run with a new guild so it was good to get to know people!

Cool JeanK! I've only done 1 dungeon and I was so confused the whole time. But that was with my son tanking and he goes super duper fast.

Oldfeeble, you can make Panda characters (like the goblins of last time). Of course, they have their own starting area. Once you've finished that, you are out in the world. Soot and I are seeing it all with fresh eyes as we played on the Horde side for Cataclysm.
There is a new class, Monk which you can play without having MoP.
There is a new land, Pandaria to explore with your high level folks and for hunters, there are new pets.
There are new dungeons in Pandaria, of course.
You can now battle Companion Pets which I enjoy quite a bit.
The talent system has been revamped and simplified.
KISA and I took a year break and are having fun with the new content.
What server did you play on?

Hi Oldfeeble! One thing I like about this expansion is they have revamped a lot of the quest areas. For example, Western Plaguelands now have been mostly tamed by the Aliance except for some areas, and those you have quests in. So it's interesting to visit those old areas to see how they've changed. I'm leveling some new toons just to see that.
I like this expansion better than Cataclysm.

Hi Oldfeeble! I second the comments by Jean and L4L, The older areas seem fresh and new and lore and the quests have changed. I'm very pleased with the changes. The Pandaria area is for level 85 and higher. If you start a Pandaren, you begin there, but you can't go back until you reach those higher levels. Many of us have toons on Draka and a few other servers. Hope you'll join us! Andrea

Yep, yep - most of my toons are in the Gameboomers Guild on Draka. Since MOP we have climbed from a lvl 6 I think to a lvl 10 guild - YAY!!! Goes fast with the new quest there. So come join us and have the guild level even faster...
