Good morning Boomers! Still enjoying some lower temps here but that has to change by the weekend when temps will soar...not looking forward to that as I'll be baking again, in more ways than one lol! Oh well, guess I'll be bringing out the fans to keep things cool! Hope you are all well! Thinking of you Joe. Have a great day guys! Mary

Good morning my friends Ana, I'am smiling too. Your No. 41 is absolutely true. Thank you for opening the Diner Joe: thinking of you It's medium hot here but very humid. I think there's a thunderstorm en route. Hubby is preparing BBQ. I hope the storm is waiting till we finished eating. We all were desperate for the summertime, now it's here, with all the heat and humidity. Let's just enjoy it as long as it lasts... I wish everybody a nice and relaxing day. Stay healthy, stay cool, keep smiling Love! Evelyne

Terrific Tuesday ya'll Well, we are a house of plague today. Keoki has a torn ACL and is not allowed to walk at all except for a few leash walks to go potty. He is bandaged to his hip and then around his waist to keep the hip one on. However, the waist one must be pulling as he keeps trying to chew on it. This will go on for 2 weeks and then they will recheck it. The hope is it will reattach on it's on. If not, then it will be surgery. Lil Soot decided today was an excellant day to eat wood...so he did....and then helpfully deposited it all on the kitchen floor. Son's back and neck is totally wracked and he is, as a consequence, in a very bad mood. I do feel for him, but on the other hand, I've been saying for 3 weeks "call the chiropractor." He hasn't bothered as he says "it will take too long to get in" (and it will take a long time) and "he doesn't want us to spend the money" but the longer he waits, the worse it will get and he will end up at the Emergency Room eventually. Boys are here....dad took them fishing at a friends house yesterday. I think it was the first time they've gone. Soot is back at work. He's been carry Keoki up and down the stairs for me so I'm hoping his back holds out. Thankfully, Keoki is only about 57 lbs. I don't know what daughter would do if faced with the same situation. Ana, I hope you got to your Salsa Funk Mary, sounds like your cake baking business has been a huge success. Do you have one particular cake that is requested most often? Do you do gluten free stuff? Evelyne, has the evil headache gone? Back later

Nan, have fun! Right now everyone is quiet, but I'm starving. I'm thinking I may have to port Kman upstairs and go find food. I also need to find something for side dishes tonight. I've had a flank steak marinating so that will be the main dish, but I need to figure out which veggies we'd like. I also need to go begin my climb up Mt. St. Laundry. It has reached epic proportions. Back in a bit

Oh Gosh L4 how awful!! but Andre Rieu said to never give up hope, never give up courage. This has surely changed you routine hasn't it. We all praying for you.
My kittie's morning dialogue: "What's the olde lady doing, running around like that?" "Well she has had a spurt of energy and is on a cleaning rampage". "She has taken my bed and it's burning away in the hot sun. Oh woe." "She's washing my food dishes -all our dishes." "Saints preserve us said Mrs. Jervis." Yeah kits, but our home looks better now so wipe off your feet when you come inside. Also little claws have ruined certain articles of furniture now little claws are eroding posts that support the porch roof.
Nice cool weather over . Back to the hotsky. Why does hot coffee taste so good on a hot day? Some day I will post howI got my nice coffee maker funnyfunnyfunny.
Back to cleaning

Yankee, yep, we will hang in there with my Kman. He has been so sweet through all this. The vet was surprised yesterday that he didn't have to sedate him to check the knee. I'm sure I will be spending lots of time in the bed with him. We are accepting all prayers for a completely functional knee with grateful hearts. But first, fooooood! Ok, back....son is up now so I'm going to my room to rest for a bit. Back in a few

Thanks Guys, we so appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers. Keoki is getting used to the 3 legged balance thing so it seems like the problem is going to be keeping him down. Especially as I never used to make him sit or lay when the other dogs did as long as he stood still. So he is not used to laying around all day. Anyway, dinner is dined, kitchen is cleaned, son and boys are watching MegaMind, Soot has taken the 4 legged ones to bed, and I've swapped laundry so I'm off to bed. Sweet dreams all
