Hi. I posted this request on the "Glitches" board a few days ago but haven't received any replies, so I'm wondering if I might have better luck here - where saved games are often found !! I'm trying the GOG version of GK1 but can't get past the zombies in Day 9 [I do already have a saved game for this point from a "Non GOG" version - but of course it isn't compatible. And I did manage to slow the GOG game down sufficiently to get past the notorious "beignet vendor" scene at the Police Station - however that tactic isn't working for me at the Snake Mound.] So, could anyone please oblige with a "GOG" save ?? [I would need the "GKSG.CAT" file too.] I'm holding my breath and my fingers are crossed !! Cheers. Mad

Hi mbday630 Thank you very much indeed for the save you sent and I can't wait to try it !! However I need another file from you to enable the save to work :- Your "GKSG.CAT" file. [Which will be with the save games in your GK folder.] Are you able to send me that too, please ?? Thanks again. Cheers. Mad

Thank you again, mbday630 !!!! Oh, believe me, I have tried many, many times to to escape the zombies but for some reason, since I arrived at the Snake Mound, the controls have been very unresponsive and badly sluggish - and it has been difficult to even reach the room with the vine, let alone grab the vine and swing out on it Anyway, I am most grateful you are trying to help and as soon as I have the CAT file from you, I'll try the game again and let you know if the save works Cheers. Hi again Well I got that second file from you, thank you, but although I can now see your saves when I launch the game, I can't use them If I try to, I get the message .... " That game was saved under a different game or interpreter version. It cannot be restored." ..... Which I don't understand at all, if your game is the same GOG version as mine. So I don't know what I can do, now But, thank you very much for trying to help. I appreciate it very much !! Cheers. Mad EDIT : Sorry, Mods, I should have edited my previous post, not posted again

mbday630Wow !!!! You did it !!!! The save you sent back to me works fine and I'm able to get on with the game again now. I am SO grateful to you !!!! Thank you. Thank you. I just hope I'll be able to help you out in return some time MarianI know from past experience how "picky" Sierra games can be about saves from other sources, having sent them to people myself in the past and then they haven't been useable. But thank you for finding that info for me. I would never thought of going to Al Lowe's website. [ Much as I do admire him ]
