44 for another month. Seeing all the ages here makes me feel almost like a youngster compared to so many of you. I sure hope I will still be gaming like some of you do now who are in their 50's and 60's.

Well, for the next couple of months, I'll still be 68. Cynch

Uhhh, just being nosy and all and I know how very busy you've both been lately, but I've noticed that Singer and Jen in Chicago haven't had a chance to post their messages yet. We're looking for them you two. Sequoia Sequoia, Our very own Singer (aka Dennis the Menace) will always be going on 6 . He will never qualify for the over 45 club. Love you Jack! Cheryl

All right, Sequoia, you talked me into it. It's not like I can pretend I haven't been hanging around the boards, can I? I'm 7.... (at least, that's what my last psych evaluation says ) But rumour has it I'm really 34. Jack EDIT: HEY!!! Trying to beat someone else to the the punch (in the nose) around here is IMPOSSIBLE!!! P.S. Cheryl, Dennis the Menace is a poseur. I'm the real deal!

Singer,if you're really as young as 7 I noticed that you are posting in Central Time and it is WAAAYYY past your bedtime! Time to toddle off. Sequoia P.S. Even though you (and I'm sure tons of others) don't truly qualify as 'Boomers' we love you all and your presence makes this board so very rich.

Well, I guess I fall somewhat below the average age on here. 26 was a good age...so was 34...40...not so good. I'm 42, act like a 16 year old (or a 6 year old) at times, and generally feel my age when looking after my 7 month old daughter, or after teaching 4 night classes in a row.
Cheers!

From what I've seen on other game forums this seems to be a somewhat rare situation and I wondered if our ages have a lot to do with the way we treat each other. Ken Ken, as far as admonishing posters, it does happen, but it's fairly uncommon. We do have those few who simply will not conform to our guidelines, and have to be told not to come back, but again, that is rare too. As you say, I think the maturity level of our members has a great deal to do with this--it seems to me that even the younger members are more mature than many others of their age group. I know that there are Boomers older than I am, but I think that Soren takes the prize as GRANDFATHER BOOMER! (Grandfather being the respectful way to refer to an older man in the Navajo culture.)

I'll be 71 next month....same as Tom Sr. I see. I have 5 boomer children but they are not sharp enough (apparently) to be gameboomers. (mine is the 20th, Tom, when is yours?)

This is a great thread! Like Syd, I calculated the average age to be just over 51. Out of the 124 replies so far, the age groups break down as: 20's = 3 30's = 11 40's = 43 50's = 42 60's = 18 70's = 6 80's = 1 I am 49 as of this May, but like many others, my internal age feels like 35 or 38. I have to stay young-thinking as I have an eight year old son! This forum is absolutely the best on-line group I've ever found and I now know one reason thanks to this question. Thanks to everyone who contributes to my enjoyment of adventure gaming through this site, particularly to the monitors who make this happen!
