I'm 64, and pleased to participate with a group where I'm not the most senior! O.R.

I have to admit - the more people post the younger I'm getting lol lol

And O.R. at 64 you're not even close to being the most senior member - why, you're just middle aged in this group <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" />

THIS IS AWESOME!!! I thought I was a rarity, sitting around playing adventure games at the "ripe ol' age" of 39! You all have convinced me that I will NEVER give up my gaming! :-)

I knew I liked this group for more than one reason. It's very diverse, yes....but....I also feel I'm in a group of my peers. I love it! I love it! I love it!

My 43-year-old best friend thinks I'm WHACKO to be playing games at my age. Personally, I think SHE needs to loosen up and enjoy life!

PLAYING ON PC: World of Warcraft...nothing else...there is no need for ANY other game when you have THIS one to play!! LOL

This would be a good thread for game developers to read. Maybe then they'd realize that they DO have an adventure market, and that it's NOT 15-year-old boys, for the most part!

Hi,
I am 71 years young and really enjoy Adventure games. i have even played a few "kill-em-deads", but they are not my favorites. I just wish there were more "true" adventure games.

Hello to all happydance happydance . Don't get me wrong, I love them dearly, but a break is really nice.

I am currently playing Watchmaker and because of all the good remarks from some of you at Gamerboomers on Dark Fall, I have ordered it and it should be in my mailbox by tomorrow.

You know, Girlgeek brings up an interesting point. Her friend thinks she is whacko for playing adventure games, like, "At your age, REALLY NOW!"
I don't know anyone who plays cdrom games in my social group, extended or close. When people ask me what I do with my time and I mention my addiction to playing these games, they look at me like I'm from another planet and change the subject.
Glad to know I am part of this very supportive group. You go GAMERS!!!!!! wave wave wave:

As a relative 'newbie' to posting on gameboomers I thought I'd mention that 1951 was a good year. I play all the adventure games with my 10 year old son by my side so that I may benefit from his insight. He is almost as good as a WT.

Good deal MacDee - someone ought to send this thread off to the game publishers (just so they could figure out once and for all who's footing the bill).

For the record - I'm definitely not the oldest, and I'm sure not the youngest - but, I'm holding at 48 (for another month anyway).

48 years young here and my husband is a fan too, at 46. Love crosswords and stuff and so when I discovered adventure games, became a BAAG lady. This website is the best! Is it from watching too many Jon Hall movies on TV when I was a child?

Hey all,

33 here, but I started adventuring at an early age on my VIC-20 with "The Count" and moved on through just about every game that Infocom ever put out (yes I was a public-schooler playing text adventures while everyone else was playing with their Atari's and Intellivision's). Of course I evened out the field by playing football for a number of years (so actually my knees may be in their early 40s, gosh knows they feel like it somedays).

I may be a youngun but I know I've turned for help to a number of the more 'seasoned' adventurers out there so it's obvious to me that no matter what our ages, adventure gaming is far from dead and, sooner or later, the males 16-25 that haunt the shops will figure it out.

Besides, how many 60 yr olds will buy Unreal Duke Nukem Quake vs. Predator XVIII?

Hey Witchen, nice of you to chime in but unless I missed it in all the verbiage I did not notice that you fessed up as to YOUR age!! Hmmm. I'm 55 and have been a computer game addict since the mid'80's on my Radio Shack Color Computer (I also ran my business on it then). BTW, anyone remember the Atari game "Adventure"? I've also been doing and teaching martial arts for 20+ years. However, now, rather than keeping me young, it's starting to remind me that I'm getting old! Oy! I turned my 78 year old father onto Amerzone and then Road to India. He had to play with the WTs (okay, so did I, once in a while, well, sometimes, okay, OFTEN) but he really enjoyed them.

Wow! How did I ever miss 'this' thread!???? Oh, I guess it was probably the word 'nosy' and I'm not, so I just bypassed it. LOL! DOHHHHHHH! What a great subject!!!

I'm 62, ...going on 35! Life got sooooooo much better at that age that I never got past it emotionally!

There's a LOT to be said for being older! ...for one thing, no one asks me any of those dumb questions any more... like 'when are you going to get married' or 'what do you want to be when you grow up'! hahaha By this age, all the pressure is off! Everyone KNOWS that I'm not going to be a rocket scientist! ROFL!

I LOVE this age! ...and this group! I thought that *I* was probably the oldest one here! Hoorayyyyyyy for Boomers!
