Update: So far the doctors are feeling that it's her leg that's causing all the problems. Therefore it may have to be amputated above the knee. So sad. She hasn't actually discussed this with the surgeon as yet. I will keep you all updated as to what's going on. Please keep Karen's Mom in prayer too as it's been very stressful for her also. Thanks.

Update: It appears that the plan is to send Karen home for three weeks with IV's attached to recuperate then she'll be having the surgery after that time. Again, she thanks you for all your thoughts and prayers.
