50! Just as well we didn't have all these great games way back as I would never have passed any exams. Just as well the kids are students in London too. Now I work from home and can fit in games when I want.

Happy New Year all. When I turned 60 I thought, "Now I am officially OLD". In February I will be 70 so now I am officially "really OOOLD".
About half way down the multitude of postings I looked at the posting dates which were running Aug. 2002 and thought that I had gone to sleep at the keyboard and had been online for four months.Senior moment.

My age is 52. I run a game based site for many years now. I know that the age of many gamers is over 40 years. I know this because of the many e-mails I receive. Some of the gamers are even over 60 years "old". I think it's a big misunderstanding that gamers are just a bunch of teenage kids with nothing else than "the finger on the trigger or on the joystick".

Don't forget the many of these "oldies" (including me) learned to play and love games in the late 70ties with the good old Sierra games such as King's Quest and all the other Quests...

Wow what a long post. OK I am 44, very soon to be 45. I have two children 8 and 9 who keep me very young, but also very tired. I only got into gaming 11 months ago, it's never too late to start wink wave

It's been a long time since I have visited the GameBoomers site...I've just been overwhelmed. But I decided I needed a fix.

Anyway, I have not read the 18 pages of responses (Yikes!) so I don't know how your question was received, Dee, but I am 51 and will be 52 in April!

You are not alone!

How old am I?You can check it out in my profile but incidentally I don't think age matters as much as youngsters would have you believe. After all the definition of middle age is 20 years older than you are. laugh
I just hate ageism though. Finally the British Government are considering removing the mandatory retirement age.About time too.Keeping the mind sharp is what it is all about.

Incog.Hoping we all have a happy games playing 2003.
