Hi,
Allowing for a small margin for errors, there are 138 games recommended so far.
48 have at least 5 recommendations,, 18 have at least 10 recommendations, 10 have at least 15, and The Longest Journey, GK 2 and Myst all have 20 or more.
As an indication of the eclectic nature of the list, 58 games have a single recommendation.

Well, I haven't played that many games, but out of those I've played the ones I would definitely recommend are:

1) Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
2) Broken Sword 1
3) Broken Sword 2
4) Monkey Island 1 (and probably the others, but I haven't played them yet!)
5) The Dig
6) GK1
7) GK2
8) GK3

And that's probably it: I have played other games which I enjoyed, but they weren't nearly as good as the ones above - and I suspect there are many games out there which I haven't played which I would have enjoyed more than the ones I have played but not listed here ... if you seee what I mean...

WOW! Is all I have to say!

I already did my list of recommendations a long time ago. I keep looking back at the updated post and find games recommended that I have never even heard of. Can anybody tell what Day of the Tentacle is about? It sounds interesting.

Mac Day of the Tentacle is Maniac Mansion 2 and is a crazy cartoonish style game. Very funny with excellent puzzles. At http://gamesdomain.com/gdreview/review_archives.html there is a great review of the game.

Hello flotsam ! Hello dear adventure gamers !

I also have make a little list with adventure game recommendations and hope that I can help a little bit in this way get a big and great collecton from recommendations :

Now here they are :

Adventure Game Recommendations 2001 from Moe Perry :

1.) : The Dark Eye ( my personal secret tip , with the deep , strange voice from William S. Bourroughs and real mystic atmosphere : you can read and hear thoughts from people if you lead the mouse over the forehead , after a story by Edgar Allen Poe ! )

2.): Myst 3 ( I have not finished the game , but it is wunderfull to play and makes me even more happier then Riven )

3.): Riven

4.): U.F.O.'s ( Gnap : the sweet bandit alien from out of space is really cool )

5.): Armed & Delirious ( the craziest grandmother in the whole universe )

6.): Stuipid Invaders ( very silly but with a nice sence of humor )

7.): The Feeble Files ( as Floyd would say here if he could read this tread : " have a good orbit , citizin "

8.): Necronomicon

9.): Dracula ( both parts )

10.): Amerzone

11.): Ring

12.): Atlantis ( both parts )

13.): The Final Curse

14.): Grim Fandango

15.): Escape from Monkey Island ( part 4 )

And now here is the most important point for me from a good adventure game :

Totally free 360 degrees turns ( like in Real Myst : pressure and hold down the left mouse button you go forwards : that was a great gameplay and sometimes I feel like I am flying through the Myst island )

Finnaly here comes a secreenshot from my all time favorite adventure game that i have ever played :

Guess what it is ? :

Oh yes you are quiet right :

Of course it is REAL MYST

Friendly greetings from

Moe Perry

P.S 1.: Dear flotsam : Do you will put the results form the recommendations collecton at some time anywhere in the world wide web online ? And if it is so can you plaese mail me or post the url from your results here on GAMEBOOMERS ?

I am really curious about the results and I think it is a great and fine idea from you !

P.S. 2 :

I juist become an link idea that I will give to all adventure gamers here :

Here is one link to an interesting adventure archiv with over 600 adventure games :

http://www.adventure-archiv.de/

It is a german website and I visit dailly this page , because there are lot of infos and good short discriptons of the games : what is good if you have to search fast for an certain game and has wunderfull screenshots there .

You can also read the whole adventure archiv in the english language on this link :

http://www.adventure-archiv.de/startenglish.htm

And please don

Hi there,
We are halfway through the alloted time period. If you are holding off to finish a game to see if it qualifies for your list, you have about 10 days left
