Well, due to popular demand here we go again this year.
For those new or asleep members, the aim of this thread is to compile a list of adventure game recommendations from the collected wisdom of us all. It is intended to be a resource to help people decide what game to play next. When I first came here, my best source of game recommendations was other boomers. This list is the repository of all that wisdom.
The key is to list the 15 games that you would recommend to someone to play in this day and age. They are not necessarily your favourite 15 games (you might love a particular game but believe that there are better recommendations for others) but they might be.
Following some debate, the scarcity or otherwise of the game is to be ignored. Many of us lend games that are hard to get, even the rare ones pop up here and there, and it would be too hard to determine what games to rule in and out. Also, judging from the previous lists, rare games are not much mentioned in any event.

There are some rules though, and I reserve the right to make up more as we go


1. You can recommend a maximum of 15 games. You can choose to recommend less.
2. You cannot recommend a series. If you want to recommend all the Tex Murphy games, that will take 5 seperate recommendations, one for each game.
3. Myst and RealMyst will be counted as one game.
4. Adventure games only please.

As to what is the definition of an adventure game, well you all know one when you see one. Your own parameters are fine (we are all friends after all) and its meant to be fun not rocket science.
We keep the thread open for three weeks, and I will post intermittent updates. It is compulsory to get more posts than last year.

ohh... I got FFX - I just LOVE it... many people says Square have lost their touch, but I don't believe so (although gameplay is different to the earlier FF, I still love the new style/changes)...
