here.Publisher Gamirror Games has announced the release of Homicipher, a female-oriented, text-based horror adventure game on Steam, created by independent developer Yatsunagi. Homicipher combines elements of language interpretation, horror, and escape game mechanics, and is now available on Steam.
In Homicipher, players assume the role of a young woman lost in an otherworldly dimension, seeking a way back to her own world. Along the journey, she encounters numerous non-human entities who speak in unique and cryptic languages. Without understanding them directly, she must interpret their intent carefully, as a single misstep could lead to dire consequences. Over time, as she grows closer to them, she begins to understand their words—uncovering a dangerous romance along the way...
Throughout exploration and dialogue, players face various choices—some that open new story paths, while others lead to sudden death. But by interpreting the language correctly, players might evade threats, and even mistakes could offer clues for interpretation.
When mysterious words appear, players can click on these terms and input their interpretations. With over 200 words to discover, these entries will be logged in a personal dictionary. As players expand their dictionary, they build their unique interpretations, advancing the story even without exact answers.
The demo version has already become a popular topic on streaming platforms. On Steam, the early access version has received a 99% positive rating, celebrated as Overwhelmingly Positive. Homicipher has also been highly rated across other online platforms.
Happy Gaming!
