Attractive female detective seeks tall, dark missing stranger, last seen in the vicinity of Oz. Info leading to this person's discovery will be rewarded by inventory acquisitions, magical knowledge, and "Quest Completed" jewels. Avoid official channels. Beware the lion.

Loved your review, Becky. I have played through to the glitch, redownloaded and am trying to make myself play it again. I agree it is a good game, but it is hard to replay so soon after being frustrated. At any rate, unless something better comes along soon, which it might?!? I will finish it tout suite!

Jody -- I didn't encounter a glitch that caused any sort of dead end. (Odd, because I almost always seem to find them if they're there. lol) Where did a glitch occur?

Great review. Thanks Becky. I'm about halfway through the game now and am really enjoying it. It's terrific. Love the story, the script, the voice acting - pretty much everything about it. I was going to wait for it to turn up on Big Fish, so I could get it cheap with my club membership credits, but I got impatient and paid full price for it. I don't regret it. It's well worth the money.

Great review Becky. I am about half way through and I have found no glitches. The humor is subtle but funny...especially the Scarecrow!

I was ready to download the game at Playfirst and saw the back up cd caption for $7.95. Am I correct in asuming that I download the game and then recieve a CD copy of the same game? The total of the game would be $27.95, which is not bad,but I do not see why they just can't send me the CD copy w/o the download. I may not be making too much sense so anyone who understands the reasoning please feel free to jump in and clarify.... hardwall.I am so confused.

You do not have to download and can wait for the CD backup if you like. The price is still going to be 27.95. It's not going to be a boxed retail version, it's just a simple backup on a CD.

The 19.99 is the cost of the game so you will pay that regardless.

They do that on most of the portals including BigFish. It is great for those that have dialup.

I think that the option of sending a back up disk later is a good one.
Even though the same activation restrictions will apply, at least you have a copy of the game to hand that won't "disappear" if you have computer problems thumbsup

I am, though, with the side that feels downloads should be slightly less expensive than "boxed with manual" retail versions.

Thanks for the clearification, thanks I thought I was misreding it for a moment. I guess I will go ahead and download it because it seems like a keeper to me and the backup cd will probably come in handy with all of the problems I have been having of late with my computer. After having decided to pay $40 for Ceville this game seems like a real bargin.
