I'm having problems getting the priest to talk to me about the records.
I went in and read the walkthru and have done all that was required. I know it said it may take a few times; but I've been to the village and the Manor about 6 times, went through all the rooms, reread everything, talked to anyone I could(actually cannot).
This has been going on for 2 hours, what am I doing wrong-why won't he give me the information? <img border="0" alt="" title="" src="graemlins/cry.gif" />

Popcorneater - I had to go everywhere more than a few times. I also talked to the pub owner and clicked on other things again. Keep going to different places, and when you're ready to give up go back to the priest.

I think I had to go back to the priest about 4 times before he gave me the information I requested. I revisited all of the locations that were still accessible on my map and, eventually, he had an answer for me. Keep trying :-)!

I am currently playing BLACK MIRROR stuck at the "grandfather's clock" in robert's room in chapter 5. I am just wondering how to get through that ... i found a piece of paper saying 6,3,0,8,1. I have no clue how to work the clock. Can someone help me please?
I keep seeing that there's a walkthrough somewhere, can somebody give me the link please?

Hi all, I am stuck in Chapter 5. Samuel will not speak to Victoria, I have been to Roberts room, have the ring, the unmailed letter, the will and seen the picture in the room. The cursor is still red over the little table but I can not find anything else in either of the drawers. Having a super time with this game and find the graphics comparable to Syberia.
Any nudges will be appreciated. Thank you,Dawn

Have you compared hair samples yet to either eliminate or include two suspects? Did you grab Robert's diary out of the safe? I was able to talk to Victoria after examining the picture hanging on the wall of Robert's room.

I don't remember anything else on Robert's desk other than a piece of paper with a code on it. I remember the cursor always being red when I looked inside the drawers in Samuel's room, but was never able to take anything else.

Did you click twice on the picture above the small table?
Samuel should say something about finding more about this man or something like that.

Thank you MaG and Susan, yes Susan I had not compared the hair from Morris cap,when I did I was finally able to continue. Now waiting for the priest to find the info for me, may take awhile from what I see on previous posts!thanks again Susan, what a suprising sleeper of a game!

I'm glad I was able to help, and you're once again on your way. I'm really envious that you're still playing and I'm finished because "The Black Mirror" is the best adventure game I've played in a very long time. If it wasn't for the fact that I read about it here on GAMEBOOMERS when I was a periodic lurker, I never would have picked it up.

I had to return to the church four or five times before Father Frederick had the information I asked for. I don't know what the trigger is, but I just kept wandering around and, eventually, he gave me what I wanted.
