Hey there! I'm not sure if anybody can help me yet or not, because I know that only a few people have gotten their game so far. Hopefully somebody can give me some clues.......... I'm stuck in "Act 2" 1. I can't seem to find any proof that Uncle Fred is my uncle. Without any proof, the sneaky gentleman in the park won't talk with me. I'm assuming there is a picture of me with Uncle Fred somewhere, but I searched both his place and mine, and can't find one. If it's in the stuck drawer in Fred's office, then I'll need a tip to get the drawer open. I tried the screwdriver, the boomerang , and the yellow t-shirt , none of which work. 2. I'm gathering from the Sydney website that I will need to sharpen my pencil. I can't seem to find a pencil sharpener either. (maybe Mr. Koala Bear has it hidden in his costume?? ) Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Dawn

You're right, Dawn, my game hasn't come in yet, although some people got theirs in less than a week, so I'm hopeful it will be here today or tomorrow. As soon as it comes I'll load it up and see if I can figure out your questions. (I couldn't get that drawer open in the demo either, so I figured it needed something from later in the game.)
Apparently if you have finished the demo you can go straight to Act 2, so I'll see you there...

I ordered my copy on Sunday, April 13. The package is postmarked April 14, and got here April 16 from Seatlle.
Right now I'm stuck in act 2, but so far this game has been a refreshing change of pace and pretty original. This isn't a "clone" game. I think the photo work is very well done. If Sydney is really this beautiful, I'd love to visit there someday.
1. There is a photo at Uncle Fred's place that you can get. Its pretty much in plain view and not in the office. You need an inventory item to get it.
2. Sami5901 answered this.

Well, if you mean that safe drawer that took 3 keys, there was no picture in there!! I saw a greeting card, and I think a coin, but no picture. The stuck drawer I was talking about was the one over by the desk that had the note to me. I was thinking the picture was in there..... I clicked all over that safe drawer and found nothing else. Maybe I have a glitch? Dawn

Dawn, you're right about those three keys opening the safe, and the photo wasn't in there. I think the way to open that drawer will come up sooner or later.
My game just got here, so I haven't had a chance to check anything out yet that wasn't in the demo...

I just made it into Act 2 - and am currently looking for water for the Koala man. Can't believe he didn't want the Aussie beer LOL -

Me too--I can't believe there are so many places not to find water in Sydney! And why couldn't I just pick up that water glass at the restaurant...

Hi Dawn I only found one coin so far - I just got into Act 2 last night - still have some exploring to do I guess Gertrude what's her name seems to think I'm some sort of flower person (I think that's what she's saying) and won't let me in - 9she doesn't want the beer either)

Syd, I am somewhat ahead of you, still looking for that elusive water though. The beer will help you find that second coin--but not by drinking it...

You guys are really making me jealous. I'm playing the demo and can't even get the sparkly out of the tree in the neighbor's yard. Seems like the stick should do it but it doesn't. Help?

Try under the seat at city hall. I am stuck. Found flowers but can't get, have two coins, an urgent sign, boomarang, menu, photo, yellow shirt, tourist brocure, sharp pencil and a rock. I need something to jog the waiters memory - I thought perhaps a receipt form the restaurant - but nothing turns up at Fred's. Say who's this Koala guy anyway??? Oh and how do you get the pants? Trudging back to run all around Sydney once more. Thank goodness the cursor is large - I have already missed enough arrows as it is Laura

Both of you gals need to go back to the beach. Dawn, you don't need to dye that shirt (I wasted a lot of time trying to find dye too), just check out the Beachman again. And Laura, have you thoroughly explored the path behind the Beachman?
As for the menu--check out the safe and table at Uncle Fred's...

The beachman?!? When I go to the beach it just says beach and nothing to go to. Hmm I must be missing something or another chat link or something. I have the menu and it's all put together, I thought I could use it at the restaurant - but it didn't work on the waiters. I'll have to go back and try again. Laura

Laura, use the "talk" on the waiters, then after they greet you, right click until the menu shows and click that on their faces. This is assuming they already told you that they could recognize your uncle from what he ate.
And for the beach, keep going forward as far as you can, then look to the angled right. You should get a "to the sand" arrow and you can follow that to the Beachman...

Ah, the Beachman!! I swear, I visited everybody BUT him, because I was kind of thinking I could swap shirts, but nobody had a green shirt on. I didn't bother visiting him because he had the koala suit on!! I'm finished now. Thanks for the help, everybody!
