If I recall, Prudence was a little difficult to contact for me as well. I continued looking around and kept going back to call her, eventually she was "available". The W/t even states that she may not be available until "later".

A lot of people have had trouble contacting Prudence--you will eventually have to talk to her in order to finish the game, but you can play on for a while.
No-one seems to know exactly what triggers her answering that phone. It seems to me that I remember there is only one of the phones you can reach her on. I'd just keep trying at various times and places...

Jenny, seems to me that one "problem" with ND games is usually that you need to follow certain paths to "trigger" things. Often people just aren't there when they are supposed to be (regardless of changing the time). I found with Scarlet Hand that you could do things out of sequence, or continue on, more than with other games. I usually follow a W/t and I got a little stuck at times in this one with things not happening when they "should", so decided to leave that bit and try a different angle. It is a very good game.

I had more trouble with finding people in Scarlet Hand than in any other game too...

Yep, sometimes I wish that darn phone could be thrown off a cliff! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" /> I loved this game though, I was able to play with my nephews and nieces and they learned alot about the ancient cultures.(I wouldn't tell them I did too!) Patience is needed in a lot of adventure games, as you must have all the pieces in place before continuing...ah the life of a detective Ingie

I remember there was a "timed" sequence in Scarlet Hand after you picked up a certain "disk" I kept dropping it ..... crash ... and had to have a "second chance" (and 10th chance!!!). This got very frustating, so I thought I would forget that bit for a while and kept going with other things. Next time I got stuck, went back and picked up the "disk" again and no trouble getting through that bit, I seemed to get a lot more time with that sequence after I did a few other things for some reason. Also recall having problems getting a parcel delivered, kept having to go there numerous times, after going elsewhere, before it actually turned up. I was playing Senior level, with a W/thru.

Hi Ron, lol, you're name is very familiar, I just answered you on another forum as well. My name is a little different, but still contains "Ryd" in it. You'll get a more adult audience here. I've answered you on both forums. Sometimes the triggers surely don't make sense, like calling Prudence. To trigger Nancy to be able to call Prudence, make sure you read the magazine in Joanna's room on the table, there's an article about Prudence. And look closely at the plaques beside her door leading in, there will be a name plate for her organiztion. Also before you can call Prudence you'll have to find some of the other keys first, I'm not sure why, but it seems you have to uncover them in sequence (no pattern to the sequence unravelled, besides talking to other gamers). Look at Henrik's disc again and pay special attention to the Notes icon. If you haven't looked for the "West" key, now's the time to do it.
