I just hit on this old thread. Thanks for all the references!
I'm playing the demo version of this game right now, just to get an idea, and so far I really like it: evocative story, beautiful graphics, and puzzles with a solid historical and cultural background.
As a special challenge, I'm playing the game in its original French: Au Coeur de Lascaux, also because it's a French location.
I'm doing quite well, but I must admit the language and the puzzles are rather difficult, given that it's supposed to be playable by children aged 3 and up (European PEGI rating), even if they're French I guess.
I come across lots of literary and scientific terms from paleontology, which support the comments on the French Amazon site that it's more like a game for kids over 12.
This of course wouldn't present a problem to most of us - and even make it a more challenging proposition!
