Hi,

I am playing one of the free downloaded games, while waiting for some new games to arrive. I am stuck in the cave. I lit the candle and somehow I can't get an arrow to lmove around in the cave. I am supposed to secreted Alice's body and then walk to the outskirts of the city. I tried to right click the right mouse to get my inventory, but nothing happened. Help!

I played this ages ago also. Oh gee, if I remember correctly - I never got deep inside the cave at all - I think just by the entrance. I must have just dumped that body in there and left. Hope somebody with a fresher memory can verify.

Marita is right, Linda--you don't move around in the cave. Why not go out and enter again, and this time try to dump the body just inside the entrance...

I tried, but I couldn't get my inventory to work and to get the saying dump the body in cave or near cave. I just got the saying about the dampness, erriness of the cave. Then I saw the arrow which lead to road, dump body in sand. Any other clues?

Hi Linda...you have to light the "candle" from your inventory before you can drop the body.. double click the right mouse to get to inventory.

I can't load a saved game..anyone have any idea's? I can bring up the load game screen, but nothing happens when I click on the one I want to load, and then I can't get off that screen without going to a new game or quit. Glynn

That's really weird, Glynn--I just reinstalled this game to see just how it works and I had no trouble saving and loading. When I click on "load" in the menu at the top of the page, the screen that comes up shows my saved games with blue bars in front of them, and when I click on one of those blue bars, the game loads.

Will any of your saves load? If an earlier save will load, you might try loading it and playing forward again. If nothing works, there may be a corrupted file in your download...

I only have two saved games..neither of them will load..it looks ok when I get the load screen, they come up with a blue box in front of them [and it says load game over the saves in yellow] I click on the one I want..and it just dosen't go any farther than that! will try again and let you know..I can just start over again, and try saving more often to see if they work..Thanks Jenny..will be back! Hi,

I got past that part of the game and I dropped off the body near the cave. I went into town, church, Butcher shop and finally the flower lady. It is the inventory that I have a hard time opening up! I right click several times to get it to open, and often it doesn't open. I right click to get it to open, like to pay the lady for the flowers, but it won't open!

Any ideas would be appreciated to get this inventory to work!

Hi Jenny...I should have known..it was a "dumas" on my part, I guess when I saved the games, I typed in the name for the saves but didn't click on save again..I started over and saved and I can load that one..the first two have the names there but no save..Thanks, Glynn

Now would you do me a favor and see if you can help Linda with her inventory question? I deleted my game without realizing I would need it again, so I can't check it out myself. If you can give her any tips on handling the inventory, I would certainly appreciate it...

Sure! Only problem is, I double "right click" and the inventory comes up just fine..so I don't know why hers dosen't work...Linda has the inventory worked up until the point you are at right now, and won't work anymore? did you get the money from the people in the church? If not, you probably don't have anything in the inventory...but it should still open! Sorry, this probably didn't help at all! Glynn

Thanks for trying to help. Maybe I should try to install it again? I tried to open my inventory after the lady gave me some money, and it wouldn't open. Weird!

If you are still having problems with the game, feel free to email for help -- just stumbled across these posts now.

I tried to duplicate your inventory error, but couldn't. The only thing that crossed my mind was:
You can't open the inventory while in the 'Travel' screen, (that is the screen with the little boxes allowing travel to destinations). That, and make sure you double-click the right button relatively fast... too slow and it doesn't register as a 'double-click'.

Otherwise, I can't seem to figure out what the problem may be. Anyone else out there have problems opening up the inventory screen?

Another thing to check is the mouse's double-click speed - under Settings/Control Panel/Mouse

It may be set insanely fast, which would certainly explain the difficulty double right-clicking for the inventory.
