Ok, been surfing Audible for a couple of hours and can't make up my mind. So help me out. What are you reading right now? What is your favorite book or series of book ever? What author do you turn to when you just want to keep your mind engaged and enjoy the read? What book or author keeps you up with "just one more page?"

I'm a fan of the murder mystery genre known as cozies. My favorite author from this genre is M.C. Beaton. I always look forward to her next release. Next I would say Laura Childs comes in second. Maeve Binchy is another author I always enjoy, although she doesn't fall into the murder mystery category.
Right now I'm reading a variety of books from various authors in the cozy genre. Hard to decide whether to play games or catch up on the purchases I've made for my home library. I like to scour flea markets, used book stores, and Goodwill for titles I may have missed. So, I have quite a collection in addition to looking for new releases at my public library.

My, I haven't. I am on the waiting list at the library for the first one in the series. I think it will be a month before it is available though.
Sparkle, I have never read M C Beaton, but it looks quite similar to the Mrs. Pargeter series which I really enjoyed. Thanks!

Bill likes books like Agatha Christie. Know any authors like hers? He has a Kindle.
I am reading The Unseen by Heather Graham.

My, I love my Kindle e-reader for that as I can make the type big when I'm having a fuzzy day and shrink it when my eyes are behaving. Bets, I love Agatha. I've read all her books numerous times. Thanks, Sparkle, I will

You may also like some Donna Leon books on the Commissario Brunetti. The action takes place in Venice. Good intrigue. Chief

I'm reading (or rather listening to the CD's) of DUMA Key by Stephen King. Ohhhh. Good book. I'm on disc 12 of 15 and it's about to 'reveal' what's really happening. Can't wait, but I only listen to it in my car, so I only get bits when I go shopping.

Sorta, I only listen when I walk or drive, so it can take me a long time to get through a book too. Space, Martin's books are good, but he waits so long to get them out. Dan Brown is a page turner. Marian, I have seen the name Brother Cadfael but haven't read any of them. I will put them on the list.

I also thought the Kingkiller Chronicle books by Patrick Rothfuss were page turners that I had trouble putting down.

outlander I really like the Outlander series... they have made a tv series on this. On Star I think... I love this series... Takes place in Scotland and the US... this is not a murder mystery series. but lots of good reads. Patricia Cornwell is a good read also...

Cari, I've read Margery Allingham and Sayers, but Marsh is new to me.
Space, I love the Kingkiller Chronicles and am waiting impatiently for the next one. I also love all thing Sanderson. My problem is I've read all both of them.
Mad, James is indeed cool.
Winfrey, I'll have to try the Outlander series again. Years ago I read and loved the first one, bought the entire series and then became annoyed around book 3 so I gave them all away. My mil is reading the series now.

I'm just starting the Thieftaker by D.B. Jackson. It is set in Boston in 1765 and it mixes magic and history.
