That would be a lovely idea! Thank you! Is the download going to be from your site or are we going to GOG or something similar?
The game can be downloaded directly from our site.

As you know Mikael, I have been making my own disk art for every one of your games for my own collection, would it be too much to ask that in addition to a file with a DVD Case cover art also include a file for a disk graphic? If not, thats OK, I will continue to design and print out my own. Just introduced my Grandson into the world of Carol Reed when we play together and so far the game has his attention. Thanks

Great idea... I'm going to try creating my own disk copy too, so it can be added to my Carol Reed set of all the previous games..... try to make the case look as much like the others as possible. And if my original disks of the first few games (Remedy, HopeSE, TimeSS??) aren't compatible with my current PC, I'll do the same after purchasing those updated downloads. And I'll probably be over in the Help forum, looking for a step-by-step on how to do it. Haven't replayed any of my Carol Reed oldies, but I'm more in the mood lately (and it helps that I've forgotten the storylines, and what Carol needs to do). Given the years it's been since I first played, it'll be like they're new again! Waiting for downloads is not my 'cup of tea', but for mdna-games, I don't mind at all..... ANYTHING for Shades of Black to be added to my other 10 games in the set! Mikael & team...

Great idea... I'm going to try creating my own disk copy too, so it can be added to my Carol Reed set of all the previous games.... I've just made a DVD cover now in same the style of the latest games. I'll make the disc art tomorow. And if my original disks of the first few games (Remedy, HopeSE, TimeSS??) aren't compatible with my current PC, I'll do the same after purchasing those updated downloads. If your discs aren't compatible with your current PC (most likely Win 7 or 8), just email me, and I'll send you links to updated versions for free. If you bought the 3 first games before October 2009 (when Win 7 was released) you will have sound issues.

PC is Vista so, yes, there probably will be issues. Carrie, you can download patches from our site for Vista.

I just played the demo. It's a little too dark for me. Not something I can play in front of my granddaughter.

Carol Reed: Shades of Black
Will it also be available on disk? I really prefer my games that way, and I have the 1st 10 of the Carol Reed games on disk. The answer is in this thread in the beginning: Unfortunately, due to new and complex EU regulations regarding digital sales, I don’t think we’ll be able to sell the new game on both disc and as a digital download. We stopped selling the older games on disc last month.
We simply don’t have the time to handle the administration.
I’m very sorry about this, especially since I prefer to buy games on discs myself. Ana

Hi Mikael,
Oh Darn! Guess I'll have to try to cope w/ the digital version. It makes all my discs of your 10 previous games treasures.
Thanks Miikael, for your quick reply. Guess I'll have to buy new software for the 1 Gig digital version.

I had never thought of the Carol Reed Adventures as games for children Do you normally play them in the company of your granddaughter, Melia ?? Not usually, Mad, but the older Carol Reed games have been ok as far as visual pictures go - excerpt the last one, that is. We usually do Nancy Drew, Puzzle Bots, a little Tex Murphy, Wallace and Gromit together. Does it seem to you that the games are getting darker? I don't want anything having to do with SM in my house.

Hi Melia. I suppose it depends on the age of your Granddaughter as to what you might consider to be too "dark". If she's old enough to cope with a Tex Murphy game though I can't see why you would class a Carol Reed game as detrimental. Cheers. Mad
