Hugh, information I read at GameFaqs said your decisions don't really affect the game. There is alot of information about romance on This Website.

Hugh, I fretted about decisions the first time I played DA:I but in the end my choices didn't have too much bearing on the main outcome.
In my second game I decided who my Inquisitor was and she stuck to her guns for the most part (except for some Machiavellian sweet-talking with companions who might not agree with me). She was a Dalish elf, so, no, not an Andrastian, and said so all the way through the game.

Hi Hugh. Just wanted to say that I bought DA:Inquisition and began playing it in between Witcher 3 binges. I haven't gotten far, but it is a beautiful game and I like the combat a lot. I also wanted to toss this out---I bought the strategy guide mostly because I love to read them, but it also has ALOT of good info about how to play the game and how certain choices or interactions effect things later on. It was kind of expensive, but I think it'll be worth it, so I thought I'd share that w/ ya. Tracy

Daveliam at Bioware Forum said, there are two outcomes that are affected by your choices in the War Table missions. Your Inquisition will become the type of organization that is line with the advisor that you choose the most. If you choose Josephine the most, the Inquisition is seen as a diplomatic force in Thedas. If you choose Leliana, it will be seen as an espionage based organization. If you choose Cullen, it's a militaristic organization.
It also affects who becomes the Divine

It also affects who becomes the Divine Ah. That explains why, in my second game, Cassandra became Divine instead of Leliana. I'm still not sure of the mechanics, but in my second game I used Sister Nightingale only as a spy, not as an assassin, and I favoured Josephine's approach in almost all of the political situations. Poor Cullen was relegated to coin and resource collection most of the time.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

You know, it's really interesting to go back through the games to see how these threads all tie together. Having some characters span the entire series gives it great cohesiveness, and I find that makes me far more likely to take time to actually read all the codex entries. I just bumped into Sister Nightingale in Dragon Age 2, as well as King Alastair and Zevran -- all of them a little older (though what they did to Zevran's face is a crime!). You can see how Lelliana gets to where she is in DA:I. And I have more respect for Dragon Age 2 now. I only played it once when it came out. I see that the relationships with party members matter more deeply than I had thought previously.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

You'll be glad to know Hagatha that I am heavy into DA1 now. I completely agree with one of your earlier assessments, it is an amazing series and DA1 really is a beautiful game. For what ever reason I recall being somewhat disappointed when it first came out. It might have been because my expectations were so high after reading nearly 5 years of hype about the mystery Bioware RPG that once it was finally released I wasn't sure what to expect. Now that I've let it sit for awhile, I've gained more appreciation for the story and dialogue elements in the game. Also, the mods I've added are awesome if you play an elven mage or even a dagger twirler LOL! I'll post a pic of my character (elven mage) when I get a change to do a screen shot to show how much some of the mods improve their look. It used to depress me how tragic and almost overly pretty the elven character's turned out no matter what I did. With this new mod, it allows you to give them a more determined or serious look, almost weathered. I like that for my mage, after all, magic is a very, very serious business - Especially in Ferelden.

I finally - FINALLY -- created a character face I actually like in my current game of DA2. My red-headed Marion Hawke actually looks like a real person and looks decent through the whole game. My last Inquisitor was a rather sad-faced elven mage who alternated between looking rather lovely and rather homely, depending on the animation. Trail, replaying this series has been fun. I never played the two big DA2 downloads back in the day, and so far I am very impressed with Legacy. It's quite a big quest, with implications that become clearer in the next game. So -- which romance option did you choose in Origins? I've played them all, with the most recent being Leliana. Leliana romance bug alert: Do not give her lots of gifts to get her disposition up. This will bug her romance, which will never start. You have to talk to her instead. In my current game of DA2, a visiting Leliana implies that she is still with my Warden. I'll be interested to see if that relationship survives all the way into Inquisitor.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Not sure what I'll do for romance on this run through. Because of the potential implications of the Mage/Morrigan pairing I might go that route. Claudia Black's voice gives me shivers (the good kind) anyway so it's an easy match Then there's also the resulting "spawn", which better come up in the later games or I'm going to feel a little let down- DON'T TELL ME I'll find out for myself. Leliana also has good potential, her accent gets me every time and I have a weakness for redheads with musical talent. I hate to admit it, but I never finished DA2. I am determined though to run through whole series including DLC and expansions - it's a matter of principal. I've played through every other RPG series that Bioware (AKA Black Isle) ever came out with, so I have to get through this end to end. It's a personal mission, quest...thing.

Trail, I really am enjoying DA2 a lot more this time. I think my expectations of it were over the moon so soon after playing DA:O. Taken as part of the entire storyline, it's really pretty good -- especially playing again it AFTER Inquisition, which in many ways is informed by the events in DA2 (including, I must say, the Legacy add-on). In DA2, when you get to it, there is a bug with one character that can prevent them from joining your party. Isabela's initial joining quest is bugged. Check out the posts first to stop this from happening. She never joined my party. Fortunately she's the same class as my PC, so no harm party-balance wise
