Hi all

I need help with the motorbike chase - my mouse is to slow to get through it. Can anyone help??

Yes it’s a real pain, just one miss and you have to repeat the whole boring procedure again. There are seven stages to get through; the last three are very difficult.

I got through by this way.
On the bombs falling on the road part of the video mark the first pointer on the left with a small piece of paper on your screen. Mark the right pointer the same way. The sequence is --- left---right---and left. Set the mouse over the left mark before the pointer appears. When it appears click once, move the mouse to your second marker click once and move back to the left and click.

The final pointer marks the gate click it repeatedly and you are through.

The trick is to concentrate on your markers, not on the pointers. Miss a pointer with the mouse and you fail, there is no time left to complete the sequence.

Even with the above it took four goes to get through.

I can see many saved games exchanging hands if this is an example of what’s to follow.

I wonder if the QTE's (Quick Time Events) are why the game has such high system requirements -- that without the QTE's, the requirements would be much lower.

HI cari I tried your method but it worked for the first two in my game is right left right on the second right nothing worked the arrow is pointing down I am clicking in the dead centre I will have to wait for a save game thanks anyway

Can you work the controls with your keyboard?
Sometimes keyboard is more responsive than mouse.

I see, the one you failed on is before the two I mentioned. Yes the one with the approaching vehicle where you are stuck on, the pointer is a touch to the right of centre. Click repeatedly on the mouse to get a tick then don’t move the mouse, another pointer appears click and you are through. The next point to get through is the one I first posted on—see bombs on road.

Thanks tried that but nothing works on my keyboard, maybe a gamepad could be better if you have one, but sadly I don’t, but I’m through now, though it took ages, if you where a reasonably good piano player it could be a touch easier.

Thanks for your help, Cari. It sounds like these sequences are going to be difficult for some players, unfortunately.

You are supposed to be able to switch "on the fly" between mouse and keyboard or gamepad. So if you're set to mouse, you'd have to change to keyboard first. Keyboard uses the WASD keys.

When the circles are flashing you have to hit the left mouse button twice. When their not,you hit the left button once.

I have just managed to get past this sequence. It took a lot of attempts!

But the advice to use stickers and lower the graphics quality finally made it a bit easier. Thanks everyone for your advice.

BTW the game doesn't allow a save once you have entered the code in the radio room so best to do it before then or you'll have (like me) a lot to re-do.

You can save when you get to the next chapter.

After completing the bike escape and the following cut video, be sure to save, you really don’t want to go through the escape sequence again.
Never used stickers on the screen before, I mean that’s really stupid but I was desperate and it does help.

You are ahead of me now!

Are you still stuck? If so the relic is listed in the index draw under pi (as in area = pi x r squared. Also it's a hole by the pallet which you have to remove first.

Unfortunately several tries put me off this game - I am so disappointed. The first Lost Horizon was an amazing game - why ruin it?? Oh, well... back to real life
