Update - This has been all fixed. If you were logged in you may have to start a game you have installed in order to sort out your profile. I had to do that.

I was in there earlier through my desktop client in my library & trying to look at the sale games and getting annoyed because every time I hit "next page" it was not coming up and I had to keep doing back page and trying again.

I hope that is the ONLY trouble I will have from this.

It has been resolved and they are saying despite the fact you could see everyone's info (I personally was logged into 6 different accounts) they say that you weren't able to do anything with it. I can't confirm that because I did not even dream of attempting to do something with an account that was not mine.

Thanks for the update! Seems like nothing is safe....

I think there will always be problems when all of your goodies are placed in one box, especially when the box is subject to the anomalies of digital problems and is open online 24 hrs a day.

But we don’t have much choice when one company has 80% of the market.

Please don't start against Steam. This is something that could happen to any online site. This was created as an informative post to protect our members. This isn't an anti-steam thread.

I am not attacking Steam Ana, I am simply stating the obvious that any online site is prone to these problems from time to time. From basic sales sites to top government web sites and all the stops in-between.

I use a Pre-Paid credit card for game purchases online...When I want to buy a game I just put the amount on the card I want to use. I think its the best way to go now a days

Unfortunately, I am still having the browse games problem, even worse than yesterday. I keep getting this every time I try to get to the next page:

"No results were returned for that query."

I think I will have to skip this sale. I am not doing anything different than I usually do. Don't know if it has to do with their problem or what.

Too late. I had no problem accessing my Steam account and purchased two games. Hope I was the only one!

No Ana. I shut down my computer last night but Steam comes up automatically and I am always logged in. Will logging out and logging back in help? I hesitate to do this with Steam if I don't have to.

You will indeed have to log out and log back in. They had to implement that as a safeguard.
