That's in one of the Eder sections, GG--the one where you start out at the end of a long bridge. Follow the walkway along the bridge, and when you come to a fork, keep to the left. The rotating thing is on the right side of the walkway, hanging over one of those circular places. I forget whether it's the first or the second one you come to, but you can't miss it.
When you've found the rotating thing, walk around behind the wall of the circular place--the link you're looking for is on the wall back there...

GrannyGamer, I saw on another thread where you said you didn't have a linking book to this section of Eder--it's very easy to get one. If you don't have a linking book to the first section of Eder, you can get it by clicking on one of the pillars outside your Relto. Once you have that book, use the picture to go to the first location--the one with the geysers. Right near where you link in is a linking book on a stand--that one will take you to the bridge I mentioned in my post. From there on, it's easy to find the rotating thingie...

GrannyG, each pillar has a hand on them (like the ones on the journey cloths)--that is what you have to click on. When you do, a panel will slide down and allow you access to the linking book inside the pillar...

I have the first linking book to Eder, the one with the geysers, but there's no linking book there.

You have to do a few things to find the linking book, GrannyGamer. From where you enter the desert area, go up the slope and to the right. Follow that path all the way to the end, then go to the left, through the narrow entry between the two cliffs. Follow that path all the way, up and over the arch to the dead end in front of a broken wall with a geyser right in front of it.
You have to close all of the geysers except that one in front of the wall, then step onto the geyser and the steam will lift you up and over the wall. Now walk down the path and into the area with all the water. There is a linking book on a pedestal that will take you to the other part of Eder--the long bridge that I mentioned...

Jenny is correct. Kemo will not pop up via totem pole. The two ages are sort of connected. Totem poles, though, really helps one get a kickstart for the game. They really help and are invaluable later for cool cut-scenes. I wonder if one doesn't use the totems will one see all the cutscenes? Hmm... never tried it w/o touching the totem pole books. In UU it is possible to avoid some of the poles as one can go to hood and use the books in the library. Hope I made sense! Gee...I really hope that I did.
