I cant believe it, I know its something really simple, and I have looked at both walkthrus but cant get it to work, I did the candle puzzle in the library and went up to the rosette thingie it showed me, I put in the glass mammoth and click on the leaves and it does show the light on another area with another rosette type thingie, thing is I cant go from there, I run down there and cant find anything to click on to open the bookshelf Any idea what Im doing wrong? I even take the mammoth out of my inventory again and try to click it on down there but I dont even get any kind of spyglass icon anywhere in that area.

Gamer, when you put the glass in the circle of leaves, you have to close them up in such a fashion that the picture of the mammoth shows on the wall. If you see the picture, just go to where it is and you can click on a button that's there. This will open the bookcase.
But it won't work if you don't have the picture of the mammoth showing on the wall...

Well, thank you all, I FINALLY got thru that part, but I have to say some of the hot spots in this game are just rediculous, like when I went to put the goblet and candle on the table, even though I got the spy glass on a big area of the table, it took like 10 tries before I clicked the right spot, and then the candle was suppose to go into the goblet, but wouldnt go in, I had to click on away from it and on the table then it showed up in the goblet,NOW I cant get the key to work in the chapel, I click all around and on the lock but no go, any advice? ( other than this kind of stuff I really am enjoying the game )

Gamer, I assume you lit the candle and cured Hans--did you talk to him afterwards? And have you also checked to see if the monk is still at the cemetery?
If you have done those things, the ornate key should work on the grill by the entrance to the chapel...
