This was one of two Carol Reed games that I haven't played, so this is a real treat.

I am there an confused as to where the download is I go to digital download but don't see code

If memory serves, click on Ana's link and then scroll down a little and look on the lefthand side of the page - put your information in there and you will receive a voucher code for a free download of the game. Oh, and if you aren't already registered on the site, you will need to register first. After you finish all of that, you will see your voucher code appear on the page; you will receive an email with the voucher code as well.

Do you have to have a Facebook account for this? When I tried to do it, it wanted me to sign into FB.

I honestly don't remember if I had to get Facebook involved or not. I hope someone else can help you with this. My memory sure isn't what it used to be.

Does not work for me unfortunately - I got the voucher but the site the link leads to gives only '403 Forbidden' error for me with any browser I try. Probably they have limited the number of countries involved or something like that.

It did ask me to sign into facebook which I did.. but I don't know if you had too.. Iurii did you see a code? I had to sign in... create an account with them before it would work for me.. I kept getting an error until I did. Once I had an account I was able to put in my code and it worked. But as it says do not click on the game and put it in your shopping cart... that does not work with this coupon. Good luck.

Well, I do have this game on disk anyway I just wanted to have it on Steam as well - but it seems they are giving regular download versions, not Steam keys.

So if I understand correctly when you go to the link.. at the top of the page ...do you see this? And if you click on Register it will not let you?

This is a wonderful bonus but it was a very convoluted way to reach the download. I'm not sure I can tell you how I got there in the end. It's just not explained very well on the website. Perhaps it's a deliberate test we all must pass to get the game!

It took me quite a while to figure it out too, meryl. The first puzzle, apparently, is to figure out how to get to the download.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It does look like the game giveaway is tied into having (and logging into) a Facebook account. Sadly, that is a deal breaker for me, although I respect the authors wishes to make that part of the bargain.

I didn't have this problem as I don't have a Facebook account. I just ignored the message and kept clicking on other bits of this really messy website.

It looks like I missed it, what a shame, I never played a Carol Reed Mystery.

This whole thing is such a shame. The free download was a genuine giveaway without any strings attached. One didn't have to have a faebook account or make any other commitment on the site - simply a need to register ones email address.
It was just such a muddle and would put everyone off from going back to this site for "paid for" games. I presume this was the opposite of what they intended.
Has Gameboomers received any feedback from them on the difficulties most people were having?
