Have you tried The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. which came out about 18 months ago. This is not exactly a thriller, but is a very atmospheric detective mystery with some unusual psychic elements. If you like the unusual it's definitely worth a try.

Chains of Satinav is Daedalic and there has not been a sequel. Silver Lining has not been completed yet although they promise it is still coming. Ana

Does anyone know if the makes of Chains of Satinav made any other games..There was also another game that looked kind of similar to that one I cant remember the name of it though, but if anybody knows if there is news of more. Maybe you're thinking of The Dark Eye: Memoria? Memoria

Memoria is the sequel to The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav. I thought it was even better than the original. The Night of the Rabbit is also a great Daedalic game, though it's about as far from a thriller as you can get. I still recommend it, though, if you're looking for a great adventure game. Have you tried Dead Synchronicity? That's a very dark Daedalic game, and another great one. It ends on a cliffhanger, though, so you may want to keep that in mind if you decide to give it a try. Some other fantastic dark games are The Cat Lady and Downfall Redux, both by Harvester Games. These are very graphic dark horror games. So if you're not looking for "horror" but more "thriller," you may want to keep this in mind. The graphics are more stylized, so it's not as bad as it could be, and they both have fantastic stories, particularly The Cat Lady. Also fairly new is Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments if you haven't tried that one yet. It has some of the prettiest graphics I've seen, and the upcoming Devil's Daughter looks even prettier still. I'm also really looking forward to The Last Crown: Blackenrock. It looks like we won't have long to wait now.

Thanx Ana Marian and Venus ,,Yes Memoria was the other one I was thinking of. Those were 2 really good games. Is there promise of a sequel to Dead Synchronicity? I did play Night of the Rabbit and it was really good. I haven't tried a Sherlock in a while either. It was maybe good to take a break for a while, now there is such a lot to choose from.
Thanx all for helping everyone

If you like the Myst games, there was the free Myst-like game called Roon Sehv. It was very good.
If you liked any of the good thrillers by Frictional Games, Soma was just excellent. I hated for the story to end. I assume you were around for the Book of Unwritten Tales games a few years ago.
And the just released Samorost 3 - not enough words to describe how wonderful this game is!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

gameho, Gray Matter was Wizarbox, not Daedalic and it was released 6 years ago already. Time flies! We announce all Daedalic adventures here but they do make other genres too. Ana

Gray Matter was also written by Jane Jensen. I think it's a fantastic game, and it's up there on my favorites list. Ana, I know, I can't believe it's been six years already.
