Haven Moon releases July 8th. Check out the trailer here. For screens and more info check here. About This Game Haven Moon will transport you to a mysterious world where you will have to explore abandoned islands and solve their secrets to find a treasure. In this Myst-like game inspired by Jules Verne’s universe, use your senses and intelligence to find your way through secret passages and curious machinery.
THE STORY
You are teleported to Seleos, the moon of the planet Menra. In front of you, a metal box opens, and inside, you find a note from Ektor Turren, the only survivor of a cataclysmic event that destroyed his world. In his note, he explains that he wishes to leave you the treasure that he accumulated during his whole life. From that, you'll have to explore the islands on Seleos to discover who was Ektor Turren, what happened to him and to his world, where to find the treasure and go back home with it…
GAME PLAY
The gameplay is based on exploration, observation, listening and problem solving. To get through the end of this adventure, with the help of the story, you’ll have to solve puzzles that are integrated in the environment. You can take all the time you want to explore and solve the puzzles, no one will come bother you here. The puzzles are made to be not too hard nor too easy, just like the length of the adventure is made to be not too long nor too short. Everything is balanced to provide a light relaxing and peaceful experience, to spend a pleasant time in an imaginary world.
FEATURES
Intuitive puzzles The puzzles that you will encounter in Haven Moon are completely integrated into the environment and in perfect fit with the story. They have been designed with great care to feel natural and intuitive.
Very simple and intuitive interface
The game has been made to be accessible to any kind of player. The interface and controls have been carefully designed to be as simple and intuitive as possible featuring a unique mouse-only game-play : the entire game is controlled using the mouse. Move it to look around, left click to move forward and interact, and right click to move backwards. That's it!
(For those who prefer WASD style controls, it's still possible to configure keyboard keys in the input menu but this is against the design of the experience).
High quality graphics Haven Moon features high quality 3D real-time graphics, offering complete freedom of movements in a detailed and realistic environment. (A "light" option can be used to play the game smoothly on computers meeting the minimum system requirements).
High quality cinematic music To bring to the game a compelling mood and beautiful emotions, Hollywood composer Leo J. Russlan composed for Haven Moon a wonderful orchestral cinematic music making the experience even more immersive.
A game for everyone Haven Moon is a peaceful game all about contemplation and thinking. It's a calm and lonely place where you hear the sounds of the sea, the wind and the beautiful music, you have all the time you want to explore and solve the various puzzles, and the controls are simple and easy to handle. It has been made to be a sane and enjoyable distraction for everyone.
20 YEARS IN THE MAKING
It took me more than 20 years to create this game. From the first time I played Myst around 1994-1995 when I was a teenager, recreating the same experience became an obsession. During all these years, I tried many times to build my own Myst-like game, but it's only 3 years ago that everything coincided to make Haven Moon possible. This project represents not only 3 years of really hard work, but also a huge part of my life, the journey leading to the release of this game was incredible.
I absolutely loved working on Haven Moon and I was very lucky as I was able to make it 100% as I imagined it. So now I really hope that you will have as much pleasure playing it as I had creating it. François Roussel.
Note : New languages, VR support, port to other platforms, trading cards, etc will be coming progressively in future updates.
Happy Gaming, Ana

Here's another French independent developer, creating wonderful adventure games - just like Simon Mesnard (ASA and CATYPH), Denis Martin (ROON SEHV) and Matthew Gouby (THE FIVE CORES) and others I can't remember right now! I'm so thrilled.... it seems to be back in Riven! The graphic is really amazing!! If I'll see good conundrums I'll be in Heaven! Thanks Ana! P.S. when will I stop being "SHY" boomer?

I see Winfrey... Thanks for your explanation! Now I know I have to write a lot to reach the next step *UruKat* well, you'll probably like ANAMEDIA too ( sorry for my self-promotion, I couldn't resist the temptation )

Oh wow!! This game looks fantastic! Just beautiful! I'm excited to see this because Myst is still my all-time favorite adventure game, and I haven't seen anything like it in a long time. PS If the game's creator happens to poke his head into the forums, I wanted to say how happy I am for you that you were able to make this beautiful game! Being a Myst lover myself and a game-maker "wannabe", I am excited for you. Thanks for giving all of us something Myst-like to fall in love with again, and for getting me excited about learning to make games as well. Tracy

Good morning!
I purchased it at 10% off, from Steam.

There's a fine line between "pleasantly full" and "movement is possible but not a good idea".

Good morning, Boomers!
I checked my computer specs by clicking the start tile in Windows 8.1, clicking the magnifying glass icon and typing in "system information" to make sure that I have enough computer to run Haven Moon before I purchased it. I do, and the game runs smoothly at a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels. I saw that when you click Play there's a dropdown for "Display 2--Right" and "Display 1--Left" with my default at "Display 2".
