I get the feeling this might be a cross-over style game, encompassing a couple different genre. That and the nightmarish and somewhat disturbing HR Giger inspired settings seem to place it at least near to the Darkside. Also, after doing some additional searches on the game, it appears that it is being perceived as a First Person Shooter, even though that's not how the website outwardly describes it.
