Hi Guys............ (Kewl rainbow and leprechaun pot, Marita! This last time I went through and checked everything with the walkthrough step by step. Everything seems to fall in line, but its still not working, i.e., the 36 lights. I can't find what I've obviously missed or totally screwed up. Is there a way to check the different devices to see if they are set correctly at this point without starting the Age all over again? Thanks for any advice. Witchen

Witchen, on the right when standing in front of the panel where the ship is, there is a box that opens like a book. Can that help to verify your 36 lights? Chief

As Chief says, check the folding panel to see what circuits are powered up. (I assume you took the rockship to the other island and got the power flowing there.)
There is a switch near the chair (to the right in front of the passageway that leads to the elevator). Is it connected?

Hi there Chief and LadyK... Thanks very much for your helpful replies. Much appreciated! I will go back and check the book/folding panel again, but I believe I counted 36 "lights." I did go to the other island and went through the drill there. I also went up to the top panel on Spire's main island and turned off two lights, after the trip to the island, to make sure that there weren't too many lights. When I go down to the Spider Chair again, there are only four lights, broadly spread, showing on the panel. This is the same identical display I saw when I visited earlier, that is before I powered up the 29 lights on the island, or shut off the two lights on the upper panel when I got back. I've read somewhere on the board that maybe there is a patch for the game? Could that be part of the problem? Of course I assume, and usually rightfully so,...LOL, that I am the problem.

It sounds like you might have turned off the wrong panel, Wichen. On the circuit board near the flyer docking station, all the circuits on the right side should be lit (34) and only 2 on the left side. When you came back to the docking station, there should have been 43 active conductor crystals in all. By turning off the docking station's control panel, you would have deactivated 7 crystals, just leaving the two active on the upper level.

Hi there Lady K..... Okay, I went back and took a look. I had set up the island crystal device to show 29 lit crystals as indicated in a walkthrough here at Boomers. The landing dock device showed 7 lit crystals. The uppermost device showed 4 lit crystals, for a total of 38. The instructions were to turn off 2 of the crystals on the uppermost device to get the correct number desired at 36. I had done that earlier but the spider chair console did not reflect the results. On this pass, per your advice, I went out to the island, lit all 34 crystals, came back and shut down the 7 on the docking device, leaving the 2 lit on the uppermost device. The open book electrical panel showed me two lit crystals on the left and 34 on the right. VOILA! Perhaps either way would work, but I will never know. This is why..... I went happily tripping back down to the spider chair to find that the power switch beside the chair had never been thrown to establish the circuit. Oh brother! Witchen

I guess that is what they are calling it. I did as the walk thru said and pushed the lever down one level to the area where there are dozens of crystal figurines...looked at close up of the statue that came down...now my problem, walk thru states to pull the blue handle all the way down, it wont go any further. I have tried and tried to pull it further down but it pops back to the same position. I can't leave the area where the dozens of crystals are. I looked in the search area and cant find the answer to this. I did look at the FAQ and couldnt see anybody having a problem getting the chair to go further down than where the "dozens of crystal figures" lining the walls are. All 36 lights are lit on the chair, so I don't know what the problem is. Please help! Eileen

Eileen, in order: pull the blue handle, zoom in on the statue that comes down, click on the amulet, zoom out, pull the blue handle all the way down.
Hope this get you going.

Hi Chief, I did do that in that order . Looney, I read about a green panel, but I thought that was after I went further down. I cant find a green panel on the chair. Do you know where I can find it? All I have is the blue button, that controls the top of the chair to come over you and the blue knob on the lever to bring the chair down. To the left of the knob are the three symbols, one with a 36 beside it. Thank you, Eileen

o1alien, If the knob on the left is opposite the 36, that's as far as you can pull it. In the center of the console just below the 3 thin cables is a panel. Click it to reveal another button.
