Hi. Just began playing this game yesterday, and while I don't think I need a guide or help now, being a Cyan game I KNOW I will need it soon. I'm exploring (like in the other Cyan games) but find this one the loneliest. I already have a lot of questions.

Don't know if this rates as a spoiler, but I've found a small cemetery and spent a little while reading headstones.

I am playing too Bubba. I love it so far. So much to see.

I was hoping for a MaG walkthrough, but alas...

I'll be happy to share ideas and hints with you.

Apart from the Youtube videos there is a walkthrough here http://obduction.gamepedia.com/Walkthrough it's not step by step just a nudge in the right direction. I'm maybe half-way though so far. It's seems very long, just like the old Myst and Riven. Have fun.

BTW if you need to post spoilers-on the post toolbar use the loudspeaker icon at the beginning and end of your tip.

Edit: just checked if the link worked and photos are beginning to appear-so it may end up more detailed.

Upsydaisy, that walkthrough is great with the photos. I hope they add photos to the later chapters, as it becomes hard to follow with all of the crisscrossing. :-)

Hey Dadguy, have you done the laser puzzle yet? My dogs keep picking up on my struggle with this one and bugging me when I try it. I think I'm missing something...

Can you be more specific? What laser, where?

I'm sorry. Now, I don't think I should say, but I brought it up. You've seen those red and blue lasers streaking down toward the community center? I feel really guilty now since I thought that you might be ahead of me. I'm really sorry, and I won't say any more. Please accept my apology.

The issue is that lasers come into play several times in multiple locations. So without specifics I can't give you an answer.

Just assume he's talking about the very first red and blue lasers you see, since he isn't aware of any others.

Dadguy, Sorry. I was talking about the red and blue lasers at CW's. I forgot that you could be ahead of me, but playing another way. Didn't mean to bug you!

Hi and help please
I have just jumped from Kaptar to a small glade with a villein number machine that will presumably grant me access to the door I can say.
I have played with the machine in the garage and have a rudimentary understanding of the number system, but where is the clue for what to enter into that particular machine? I can certainly do trial and error but suspect there is something I have missed.
BTW, I loved the puzzle in the mayors office to unlock the tower lift.

I'm not sure if there is a clue the solution is I think there is a couple of other places where no clue is given later on, and the solution is the same.

Must be a clue somewhere??

Experiment with it and see what happens to the door. Work from a position where you can also see the door in the background behind the panel. I never saw any clues either.

Well, it's been a long time since I have been here, but when I got Obduction I knew where to go.
I have found the cart with the blue laser device in the building with C.W.'s vault door, the building next to the blue battery/capacitor on stilts.
I have moved the cart outside to the the town's open are.
I know what all of the cart's buttons etc. do and am now trying to aim the blue laser at the red laser emitted from the building up into the sky.
How do I get them aligned, or how do I know when they are aligned, so I can nuke the red laser?

Thank you VERY much, Mr. Bill! I hadn't played since I posted here a while ago because I wasn't sure what to do after moving the train to the spot near there. Frustrated, I decided to go back to Prominence (another game I'm playing REALLY slowly, so I wasn't crazed). WHEW!

Thank you everyone for your tips! I tried both watching the cart screen & randomly moving the beam. Randomly worked best - once I actually touched the red beam while moving the blue beam poof!

Help needed!

This mine cart is troublesome.

I figured out how it works and destroyed the red laser beamcoming from the C.W. vault area. I rode the dart to Farley's house, explored, and exixted the house via the front door. AND - no mine cart. It has disappeared. I have looked everywhere and followed all the railroad tracks. I cannot find it.

Any ideas?
