Lost in the Arizona Desert
Hi all,
I hope there is someone who is familiar with this game.

I've been playing it a while and there is a place where I need to use a Stealth Boy. I opened a safe early in the game and got a Stealth Boy but I can't for the life of me figure out how to use it. I've checked in my inventory and it doesn't appear anywhere but I know I got one at the abandoned school house where I first started out.

I've searched an on line manual (buying it from Steam doesn't seem to include one) and I can't find out how to equip or use the Stealth Boy.

I'm confused????

I found this, which might be of help. Apparently it's considered to be a consumable item. wave

On another page of the Wiki it says this:

Quote:
Consumables are items accessed through the "Aid" section of a players Pip-Boy menu. The effectiveness of any consumable in Fallout: New Vegas is directly dependent on a character's Survival skill for general effectiveness and Medicine skill for healing. The higher the skill level, the greater the beneficial properties. A skill maxed out at 100 points can provide up to three times the benefits that a consumable would normally provide.

oldman, the Stealth Boys will show-up under the "Aid" tab of your inventory, you click on it to activate. They aren't equipped like a piece of gear, as the wiki entry that Marian sighted, they are a consumable and used pretty much like a chem.

Thank you Marion and Trail. I thought I had looked through my entire inventory for the cotton picking thing but I obviously missed the aid tab. To my surprise I had more than one there as I pick up everything I can find along the way and hitting take all is my default.

Anyway problem solved and thank you again very much. Now I'll finish sneaking into the gun place.
