Hi guys, our wee furbaby Holly hasn't been herself the last two or three days so this morning I took her to the vet where they discovered she has a heart murmur, which they don't think will cause her any serious problems, but also diagnosed her as suffering from pyometra (pus in her uterus) and has arranged for her to have surgery tomorrow to remove the uterus. The vet also noted she has a swelling in her neck. She's 13 years old and has had no health problems up to now. As you can imagine we are worried about her and could use some good thoughts please. Mary

Thank you all so much for the prayers and good thoughts for Holly. Surgery went well, and the lump in her neck is just fatty tissue so nothing to worry about. She's now back home, wearing the cone of shame which she won't be happy about once the anaesthetic wears off!  She'll have to wear it for approx 7-10 days so life will be interesting! Thanks again everyone! Mary
