Description
The fantastic world of sculptor Eve Nohl in a videogame. LEAVES is a series of puzzle-adventure games featuring real sculptures of Eve Nohl, presented inside the mysterious dream world they are descended from. 'LEAVES - The Return' is its latest installment. Embark on an adventurous journey through an artful cosmos of 4 worlds and over 35 locations full of surprises, secrets and many challenging puzzles and riddles.
Story Some time after the events of the first game, the Treefruities settled onto a new, cozy tree in the calm of the woods, well protected from the wind. But unbeknownst to the Treefruities, their tree had a terrible cold. Soon it couldn't help himself but to sneeze. And from one moment to the other all the leaves were scattered across the peculiar world of Mononino again. Once more, the Treefruities call for your help to travel to new, fantastic places and to find the lost leaves.
Background The LEAVES games consider themselves as successors to classical puzzle-adventure games and combine the proven gameplay of exploration and puzzle-solving with surrealistic visuals made of real artwork, photographs and 3D design. Also, the game features an atmospheric soundtrack exclusively composed for the LEAVES series. The games are a collaboration of artist Eve Nohl with programmer Moritz Krohn and publisher Daedalic Entertainment. After two years in the making, the project nears its completion. Both this game and Leaves: The Journey look really interesting, but I can't seem to find a review of the first one. Any suggestions?

It's because they both came out days apart. I am playing Leaves: The Journey and I am loving it! The puzzles are challenging to say the least and I am slowly making my way through. I snatched up Leaves: The REturn without any hesitation.
If you enjoy Samorost style games, this is a must!

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware that the first game was also new.

No, but they don't require any dexterity so if you need help there are video walkthroughs out there.

I'm playing "Leaves: the Return" right now. It's simply more of the same as "Leaves: the Journey." For me that's a very good thing since I really enjoyed the first one (Note: I still haven't figured out, or found an answer for, the "Help" puzzle.)
