Hi Garfield. After you placed the scepters on the hall statue did you click on the statue itself? I think that's how you get to the next area of play. Good luck

I have lit the first torch and when I get a message to lite the second torch, I do that on time. I also found the oil flask and the bottle of oil and combined them. I got through the Treasure Room Antechamber just fine and the water puzzle. Now this is where I'm having my problem. I have placed the four statues on the chess board and then the cut screen comes on and then the room is destroyed. I keep dying at this point because I don't have time to cover the scorpions with the buckets and get out. It only gives me a few seconds. What have I missed? I appreciate any help you can probide. GarfieldOdi, I added your new question to your old thread. It helps us with game continuity. Are you able to grab both of the buckets into inventory before you die? You should be able to swing around and get them and place a bucket over the scorpion that will be at your feet. Then run towards the door, turn to your right and you should see another scorpion near the chess stand. Cover him with the other bucket. Once the scorpions are dealt with you need to grab Posey's bag and the plank.

Garfield the save that you are using for this..can you tell me exactly what your next step will be? Is it placing the statues? You should have time to get to the bucket that is on the left. Once that scorpion is covered, I think the timer stops.

Garfield try walking to the chess board. Save your game just before you start placing the statues and see if that will give you any extra time.

Garfield go to the chess board but do NOT click on it. Save your game right there. One scorpion should be near your feet when you go for the buckets. Get that one first. Then turn to go for the door. The second scorpion will be behind the destroyed chess board I believe.

Garfield - here's the wording from the (other) walkthrough: Turn toward the buckets. Pick up the Large Bucket. (It's the one on the left.) Look down at your feet. Use the bucket on the Scorpion to trap it. The timer momentarily stops. Before you do anything else pick up the other bucket. Turn right and go once toward the door. Look down and take Parkey's Bag. Before you move, get the small bucket out of inventory. Step behind the right side of the checkerboard Use the bucket to trap the other scorpion. Before you move, look down and pick up the wooden board. Turn toward the door and exit the room.
Whew!! That wasn't so bad now, was it?

Raven it's a picture of Sherlock and his pipe, at least mine was. After I finished the puzzle I was told the shortcut. Place a couple of tiles and then go to the upper right hand corner and click. The puzzle will basically fill itself in. You may want to stop before the final few tiles are done and do them yourself. It seems like someone told me that the last pieces needed to be done by the gamer.

Lakota did you do what TH suggested? Did you add gin to the torches? Did you use a match to make a torch?

Lakota I don't know what to tell you. You should be able to combine the rags and sticks that you found in this area to make torches without any difficulty.

Lakota, I can't figure out what's wrong either--if you want to send me a save at this point, I'll see if I can solve your mystery...

Garfield I don't remember exactly where the box is, I only remember that I found it in a corner of the lab. I'm sorry but that's the best I can do. Sue
