Hi this is Mysty. I am also playing nancy drew Treasure of the Royal Tower and am stuck. So what else is new! I have delivered the boots to prof Hotckiss and taken an elevator down and got stuck. I have climbed out of elevator and gone down to talk to Dexter but he is not at his desk. The senior detective version says she goes grom the elevator through the ducts to library. So where should I go? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mysty if you climb out of the elevator you should see a ladder in front of you. Get on the ladder and go to that shaft. Climb through that shaft until you get to the grate. You should be able to get to the library easily enough then. Be sure you have what you will need to turn off the alarm.
Good luck

Is he somerwhere else? I have looked in all downstairs rooms. Still no Dexter. Please help! Mysty

Mysty I honestly can't remember if you can set the clocks in this game to change the day and time but if you can, try doing that. Or wander around and see if there are some other puzzles you can work on for awhile and just keep checking back to see if he's at the desk.

Yes, Sue, this is one of the change-the-time games.

Mysty, try changing the time of day and see if that helps...

to texaslady and jenny, Thanks very much, changing the time did the trick. I talked to Dexter and have to get to the circut breakers in the basement. With the elevator broke where is the entrance to the basement? Is it behind Dexter? Do I have to get him to move? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mysty

Mysty I think the way to the basement is through the hall off the side of the library/sitting area where Lisa is.

Thanks Sue. I found the library and have played all the way to the chess puzzle. I have tried to move the parts(colored disks) but nothing moves, it does't light up, I must have missed something, but what? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated

Mari are you certain they are all corner pieces? Have you tried right clicking on them to get them to face the way you want them to go?

Mari I think you need to look in Jacques' locker in the basement.

I read a walkthrough written by another person and is different from the first one.In the first one it says "try to take the medallion in the locker, you'll get BONKED on the head instead" and in the other one"get the blue medallion.BONK!" so I think I have to begin the game again and try to take the blue medallion before I get hit in the head.

Mari, you don't need to start the game again--you are not supposed to have that blue medallion after you've opened Jacques' locker. Set your alarm for 3am, and go down to Professor Hotchkiss's room (I think you may meet her in the hall leaving her room, but I'm not sure about that). You are several things for you to do in that room:

Click Here For A Spoilercheck out her briefcase and look under and behind the cushions on the couch--you'll find the blue medallion and this time you get to keep it...

to texas lady, thanks for all your help. I got through the gold leaf puzzle Yea!. Now I am stuck at professors Hotchkiss,s door. I knocked and she gave me a slip of paper that required an answer. I gave her the right answer but cannot get out of the closeup to get her to take paper. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mysty P. S. to Mari, blue medallion in profs room.

Mysty I'm not sure what to tell you to do. Can you get Nancy to turn around? Have you tried clicking on the door again?

Just a long shot, if you bent down to pick up the paper - do you need to stand up using the up arrow to continue?
