I have been playing it for quite a while (with a controller) and experienced no problems until now. I am playing as Oscar, trying to open the conduits in the ceiling, to help get rid of the bats in the tunnel. I have raised og turned the ladder on the fire truck and also started the truck and moved it into position, but Oscar wont climb the ladder and I cant get access to the ladder controls anymore. However, all the walkthroughs I have found on the internet, move the truck first and THEN raise the lader.
I cant start the truck again and I cant get to the ladder controls anymore, so I think both truck and ladder is in the right spot. But how do I get up there, I cant select the ladder.
Loading the save game does not bring me back before I moved the truck, so I guess I have no option but to start all over ?

The developer has provided some saved games here.

I don't know if they have exactly what you are looking for, but hopefully there is something there which will put you at least close to where you were.

If that is not helpful, someone else may have a solution/answer for you.

Thank you, Marian, that was just what I needed. I found the right savegame and now I will hopefully get to the end of the game. I was not aware of the fact, that Microid actually had listened to the critics and made these savegames.

Did you find a Large pair of cutters in one of the buildings? He wouldn't climb up the ladder without them.

Don't rely on saved games every time because you could be missing some very good videos.

Yes mrbill, I got the cutters, that was not the problem. I raised the ladder and turned it, before I started and moved the fire truck. That was a pretty foolish thing to do, since I could not get to the access panel, once I had moved the truck. I am pretty sure it is a bug in the game, you just have to move and then raise the ladder in that order.
I chose a save game from before the whole bat incident and I am not there yet again, but I am looking forward to the cut scene, where our heroes will leave the tunnel. You are absolutely right, the videos ( and the graphics in general) are really impressive in Syberia 3.
